Exercise more.
Release negative emotions from the past.
Avoid caffeine and alcohol as much as possible.
Just some suggestions. I am not a doctor. The doctor will probably want to put you on medication.

Yeah, unfortunately, most doctors want to stuff pills down people's throats for stuff like this. They need to get a life, and quick.
I like aredfs' suggestions better - exercise more, and AVOID caffeine and alcohol. But most importantly, work on releasing negative emotions from the past. Reduce stress - surely there has to be something in your life that is stressing you out - too much work that you've stalled on? Not enough rest? An unclean house? Fix those that stress you, even if you think they only stress you a little bit. Just don't be OCD about things. Fair balance.
When I started exercising and quit alcohol/caffeine (except for a glass of wine every once in a while), things started getting a lot better. Exercise = god for these sorts of things.

my daughter was having really evil panics, being the evil prick that i am all i can say is that i could see why with what goes on in her head... but nothing short of unconsciousness helped when one hit...
she finally has gotten her act together a bit and surprise, no more attacks lately... but they were as real as real and stupid scary when they were happening...
find a nice place to crawl into and maybe watch some dr. phil or something until u get a grip... but if u r full of irrational fears then u r pretty much screwed...
What the fuck does this say? Someone translate.

Only panic attack I've ever gotten was when I was stoned one time, and even then it wasn't too bad, more paranoid I guess. Now I say f that crap.

May be a withdrawal symptom from the alcohol.
If not, panic attacks are the worst thing I would wish on a person. Personally, I take meds for anxiety (figured out the panic and got over it, most of the time) but still get very bad anxiety attacks. The problem is the meds make me forget things, and in organic chemistry that is a bad thing. I just (Today.) got the disability office at school to lend me a recorder so I could tape lectures and then refer to my notes later.
See a doc but try not to be reliant on meds to control it, its a serious downward spiral.
