Apparently because the guy at the top did something racist, everyone should stop getting pizza from them and ensure that the company collapses. That way this rich SOB will think twice because everyone in the company lost their jobs. We need to make sure everyone suffers so this guy stays super rich but does not get to make more money. I mean, sure, he can still take his money and invest it and continue to get richer, but, all those in the company need to suffer.

they are kinda fucked, really. He is the brand, so they essentially have to rename the company, the logo, the branding, everything.

A poor quality product is always a valid and not dumb reason to discourage other people from patronizing a particular business. But I guess you just decided to overlook that part of his comment.

Eh, I don't think it's fair to characterize the entire company as racist. They are, after-all, a public company with an independent board. They are in a position, however, where the founder essentially established the brand as himself, so it makes this more difficult to separate the company from the founder, from a consumer perspective. I think they have tolerated his shenanigans long enough because he has maintained a controlling interest that makes it difficult to oust him.

I don't know how many people they employ, but I'm sure it's quite a few. As much as I tend to support some wacky scorched-earth policies in some situations like this, I don't really think it's fair to punish the thousands of people on their payroll because their idiot racist owner is an idiot racist. Just get rid of him, make it very public, and work to re-gain consumer trust (In contrast to something like this, I still think, say, the PSU football program needs to be dissolved and banned from NCAA competition for life--because Paterno's and the University's actions established and defended a decades-long culture of child rape, just to protect their "reputation." You aren't really punishing anyone here: those players will find easy spots on any other team, and the "fans" aren't losing a fucking thing. You're still in school, so get your degree, drunky. In the Papa John's case, is there a comparable history of a long, established tolerance of racism as part of the company's culture that also, unlike with PSU, would actually cost people their jobs?)

I think they are going to have to force him out with $$$$, completely re-brand, and spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$ on advertising for the next 3 or so years to re-establish whatever consumer loyalty they had (probably only 1 year, really, because we have no memory)
