Fact from Papa John's:
8 kickoffs have been returned for a touchdown in Big Game history.
7 kickoffs have been returned for a touchdown in the Big Game since 1984 ? the most recent of which by Chicago in 2006 marked the only time the game's opening kickoff was returned for a touchdown.
7 of the kickoff returns for touchdowns in the Big Game have come on grass fields. (this year's game is on grass!).
21 kickoffs have been returned for a touchdown during the postseason since 1970.
538 kickoffs have been returned for a touchdown in regular and postseason history.
Since 1984, the year Papa John's was founded, there have been 294 kickoffs returned for a touchdown in the regular season and postseason.
13 kickoffs returned for touchdown during the 2008-09 regular season and postseason.

The difference is,.. HESTER IS NOT PLAYING!!!

There are a few return guys in the past that would make this at decent odds,.. but none in this one,...

EDIT- then again neither teams return defense is outstanding,.. I have seen the Cards give up way too many long returns,...

Alot of people complain about Papa Johns and there Pizza, and even some complain about everything. But its FootBall.....and what do people usually eat when it comes to football? PIZZA! I mean even if its $.25 they still complain....he even says his local place is 1000 times more affordable yet he comaplins about $.25!

I didn't say my local place was MORE affordable, just that it was affordable. If you give me the choice between a large pie from my local place for $15+tip or a $.25 Papa John's pie, I'd pay the extra cash every time. I understand not everyone shares that sentiment, but I just don't see the point in eating something I don't like just to save less than $20.

We are glad you feel this way,.. but 99.9% of the people would jump at this, so if you don't want to, then I find that great,.. it leaves another spot open.

This doesn't seem the right forum for this deal. Doesn't this belong in 'contests and sweepstakes'? I mean, this is only a 'potential' deal. I have seen other posts ridiculed for less in the past.

Cottage Inn is now becoming my favorite pizza (since local places closed), but Poppa John's with their garlic sauce is pretty good!

How does that change the fact that this is in the wrong forum? If anything, that is more disturbing.

Well, since it ISN'T actually a contest - if you register and the event happens, you get the pizza - and there's no awarding of prizes to only some people selected at random, I decided to place it here. I could have gone for Free Stuff, but they are going to charge you $.25 for the pizza, so it's not completely free. I made the call to put it here and I still sleep fine at night.

Even a sweepstakes isn't free typically, as you have to pay taxes on it. So, I don't see a difference. Also, you are right, you shouldn't lose sleep over this as it isn't a big deal. However, at mentioned before, I have seen other forum members berated for posting 'future' deals or 'potential' deals here in this forum. I don't see this as any different from those posted in the past. Also, if you look at www.slickdeals.net, you will find they place this thread on their 'contest and sweepstakes' and of course, the fact they call it a sweepstakes should be reason enough.

Well, I've explained my reasoning and I'm sorry you can't see the difference. We'll have to agree to disagree. Now back to the Papa John's pizza discussion...

pssst guess what? There's probably more like 50 million who are watching him and wanting him to return for a touchdown.

I live in the NYC area and have 10x better pizza... but what retard turns down a 25 cent pizza? Jesus if I didn't eat it I'd give it to the homeless or something. Only reason I wont do it is because I hate giving my info to companies for promotional stuff.

Thanks Allisolm. Fun deal.

There's an old saying "Pizza is like sex. When it's good, it's great. When it's bad, it's still pretty good."

Haha... nice

You never can tell. He might be registered for the pizza, too.

the odds are so astronomically ridiculous (which is exactly why they'd make such an "offer") that it's not even worth reading further.
