thats because PPJ and PH are in a price war and its pissing off the PPJ franchise owners.

doesn't matter earlier in the thread we had people saying we'd have more expensive pizza in reality the pizza cost is down, profits are up and healthcare is being issued.

TRUE:

"Will have to offer healthcare for its employees" <--- which is a great thing. There are countries where it's unthinkable you are employed and don't have healthcare.

FALSE:

"Will have to increase the cost of their pizzas". Even if it's just an avg. $0.20 per order, NO, Papa Johns or whoever doesn't have to increase prizes for goods or services, the could simply swallow the somewhat lower profit margin for the sake of complete health care coverage of their employees.

If I remember correctly there was a similar thread where people were predicting $40 pizzas because of healthcare.

Not to mention how Big Macs were going to shoot up from $4 to $8, a 100% increase, by increasing the wage to $15. It would most likely be less than a 25 cent increase.

That's assuming they don't go the pizza route and absorb the difference. I also remember saying fast/quick food customers are very price conscious thus the corporations would simply take fewer profits. Some forum members thought that was insane.

Its not even fair to say they employ fewer people because at the time this started there were 14,500 employees today there are 22,700. I really doubt there are substantially fewer full time employees.
