I know someone who is telling me some crazy things. He thinks he's being followed and watched. He thinks people are putting some kind of knockout gas in his room at night and exposing him to radiation or doing other kinds of harm to him. He thinks they have secret passage ways in his house. He thinks this mobile home parked within view of his window contains high tech equipment that lets "them" control things in his house, and monitor him at ll times. He has started sleeping in his car. He thinks they are doing all kinds of crazy things like taking his belongings and putting them out of place.
I recently spent time with this friend to see what this was all about, and my impression was that he was misplacing things or not remembering where he left them exactly, and then blaming it on his pursuers.
I'm kind of shocked and not sure how to deal with this for now, but that is not my question. While I was visiting, I drove him to the hospital for an appointment to get an xray or ultrasound or something. We were late and had missed the appointment. He had been complaining that there was tingling sensation in his face, and extremities, and pain in his leg, where he thought they placed a radioactive device to poison him. After I left from my visit, I got a phone call and he told me that at the appointment they found a device that allowed someone to remotely track him in his leg.
I have seen this in movies before, and have heard about this kind of thing where people think aliens plant devices in their bodies, etc. My question is, is there usually some kind of explanation for finding foreign objects in a person's body? Now I wasn't there to see this object being found, so it could just be a piece of metal or something, and my friend claims it's a device for tracking. I really doubt that it's an electrical device capable of transmitting any signals. But anyways, yeah, what are possible explanations for finding things in your body, pieces of metal, or even something that looks like a chip?
