Blue's Clues videos. My nephew is completely enthralled by that show. It's kinda weird, since when he's watching it, he doesn't even seem to blink even! It's like, if he blinks, he'll miss something, so he doesn't blink. Plus it seems like they're learning something.

Haha! That's how my nephew was with The Wiggles (I hate that show!) I babysat him for a week but I was able to keep my sanity since this one channel played that show practically 24/7 and my nephew would stop crying when that show was on.

My 2-year-old loves: Thomas Trains, Brio Trains & track (after 3 older kids we have a huge collection), Blues Clues, anything whatsoever to do with a ball: he loves pinball, kid-sized basketball, baseball, football, golf, bowling, etc; also loves the inflatable ball play area thing, and I second the "get lots more balls"; anything with wheels - either to ride on, push, or play with; books about animals, especially pop-up and lift the flap books; jumping in puddles and any other type of playing with water; and writing all over the walls with crayons.

Gifts I was "wowed" by: signed first edition Classic Kids' Books, along with a paperback version of same to actually read; more Brio-& Thomas trains, including one with a battery-operated locomotive; Harley power wheels motorcycle, even though it broke right away and we had a lot of trouble trying to replace it; leather NY Yankee jacket.

Get him started on Hotwheels. Go overboard. 25-40 cars, a playset or two. Sure, he may not be able to have the play set now, but he will very soon. 5 years later, his parents will always tell him how he got into them and he will love you more than anyone in the world

Well a year ago it was all about Mike and Sully on Monsters Inc. Now its all about the Disney Princesses and Lilo and Stich.

I would say that for the money the best things have been the memory card games and puzzles they keep her occupied the longest.

I remember that when I was three I was given a tricycle for my birthday. This tricycle had a bike bell. Most kids would be happy to ring it endlessly to annoy everyone else. Not me. I rang it a few times, then dismantled it and showed it off to my less than thrilled father. So if I were him, I would want a bike bell. Then again, I was--and am--a weird kid.
