Only children are some of the most selfish, spoiled, and arrogant people I've ever met. I don't care how good of a parent you are, a sibling will teach them things you'd never expect had to be learned.

too many variables to make that determination. With one kid i can send her to the best private schools and college. with two, probably not. the advantages outweigh the risks of having a spoiled kid. Secondly, i hated my brother never hung out with him and had my own friends. I didn't learn anything but how to fight from him. nothing really beneficial if you ask me. My wife was in a similar situation with her older sister and an abusive upbringing.

im in the same situation kinda.

my 2 oldest sisters moved out when i was like 8 and we moved across the country and didn't stay in contact.

the other 2 moved out when i was 14. from the time i was 14 until 30 they would always put me down and call me names i always took it in jest at least until a little after my daughter was born. my mother was visiting and we were at my sisters house.

they started makeing jokes about me and telling there kids to not call me uncle waggy but uncle useless (they were 4 and 12) and i blew up. i told my kids to get there coats on and that we were going home .

my mother walked out with me and asked me to stay. i said no they have been doing this for years and im tired of it.

i have tried to figure out why they don't like me. only thing i can come up with is that it started when i was a baby. i had some bad health issues and they were upset my parents spent more money/time on me.

but once i stopped talking to them and going to family events my life has been far less stressfull. wich is a pity i do love them and my brother-in-laws are amazing.

I'm actually one of six kids, Catholic. You ever notice people from big Catholic families, they always throw in that "Catholic" after the number? "Six kids, Catholic. Six kids, Catholic." Like if you didn't hear the "Catholic" part, you'd think, "six kids? His mother really likes sex."

We just had our first, had a daughter. We plan on having #2, I'd like a boy, but if isn't we aren't going to keep trying for one, 2 is enough.

A positive spin might help. Just think of it as a blessing that you are able to produce 3 perfectly healthy girls, because there are many couples that can't have children or produce one that is handicap.

There are 6 kids in my family and all are girls except for 1 that is a boy. My dad best friend/work partner had 7 boys and no girl.

Lets not get started on that one - thank goodness we were only blessed with one brother. Im now 24 and he STILL covers my eyes when there are kissing scenes in a movie we are watching hahaha, I STILL get the 'where are you going wearing that' speech, and Goodness forbid I ever hug a non blood related guy in front of him D:

Had my daughter first and was content with that, then the wife wanted to get frisky and try again and we had our son. Nice that they are only three years apart. Oh, then I got snipped. I am 45 with an 8yr old girl and 5 year old tornado, don't need little ones under my feet at 50. Plus I am Catholic to boot!
