My brother already has four sons, so I'm a little afraid of winding up with the opposite pattern.

fricken ouch. My friend had a boy, then tried again and popped out twin boys. She said even if she had a guarantee it would be a girl next time, she won't do it. 3 is the limit.

As for us we popped out twin boys and want a girl next try... I'm a pretty optimistic person. But we're also holding at 3.

Right in front of us were a group of high-school aged girls who were, ah, minimally dressed, including one with very low rise pants and no underwear. My friend commented that this is why he'd much rather have boys, if your son goes around looking like a moron with his pants around his knees you can just beat him until he straightens out.

Sometimes I really hope for a son. This tends to occur mostly when I'm moving furniture. A tomboy might get job done though.

I don't know the answer to that! Probably I would guess. It's even worse over here I would think, where there is no law preventing you from multiple tries and the culture doesn't really expect the children to take care of the elderly.

Technically it's your shot to produce the girl since your swimmers carry the gender marker.
