I have a girl and don't see the need for more. never understood the need a boy thing. the world has too many people, it's more chaos and less money for the family. one and done...

All around the world boys make more money than girls.
If you only have one.........

and?.. I'm suppose to get a cut or something? My jobs to raise her and send her to school/college. what she does after school as an adult is not my choice. as long as she's happy with what she does i will be satisfied.

My ex was the youngest of 3 girls. Also the hottest of them all. Although the 2 older sisters looked attractive at times. Although I still would have banged her older sisters.
Her oldest sister was a nurse, or surgeon, or working on it. I know she still hadn't stopped schooling and was already well-off last I checked. Second oldest was still in school, and had a decent entry-level position.
I always wanted to ask one of her older sisters for a prostate massage, just wasn't sure how to go about it without being completely awkward.
My ex became a teacher instead of going into the medical profession.
Now I have nurse and teacher fetishes.

I don't think there's any way other than "completely awkward" to ask your GF's sister to shove a finger up your cornhole.

we had a girl first, we wanted two kids regardless if it was a girl the second time. got girl/ boy twins the second time, wo0t! boys keep your family name alive, always a good thing. my daughters have both told me they are going to make their husbands take our family name instead of them changing theirs to the husbands name. i crack up when they assert that, but we shall see how it works out. hopefully i have a good decade until i have to worry about that.

Some guy wrote an article about taking his wife's name, can't remember who, or what publication it was though. I think it had to do with his wife being more established in her profession, and he wanted them both to have the same name, so it was a practical thing.

Basically his family was really upset about his, his friends couldn't understand it and didn't really accept it, and it always seemed to be awkward when he had to explain it.

I think his main point was about how his experience demonstrates how much sexism still exists in our society. It was pretty interesting as I've never heard of a guy doing that before.

Family DNA > Family name... That's really just a relic of the past.

For guys with sisters, did you guys ever get the short end of the stick? Like, dad would usually give more money to the girls if they wanted to go out or something?

My sister got away with, and was given far more than I ever did.

She was 5 years younger than me. Not sure how much of that is due to the 2nd kid syndrome or the fact that she was simply kind of princessy in nature. Or some combo there of. It never bothered me because I was always more independent and self supporting. (again..not sure if it's a boy or first kid thing).

haha, thats what i always said in my head too, we shall see. they are fairly strong females so far.

Family DNA > Family name... That's really just a relic of the past.

and yet genealogy is still tracked my surname, and only recently has the female lines been included.

theres a simple explanation to this. girls ask for more...

my son will bust out some extra chores to get a few bucks without even asking me, the girls will try to do the "i promise ill do it... later" thing almost every time.

Hahahahahaha!

I agreeD:

My parents wanted two boys and a girl - it went like this

1. Boy (Yayyy)
2. Girl (YayYY)
3. Girl (Doh! But ok - pray for a boy)
4. Girl (which was me - so Im sure the reaction was OMG we are Soooo Happy!!!:awe: - but praying the next one is a boy)
5. Girl (Maaaaaaaan .. please please next one be a boy)
6. Girl D: PLEASE a boy next one.
7. Girl  Sigh. One more try.. *cross fingers and toes*
8. Girl :awe:.. not
Tubes tied

Bless the parents who have to raise more than 2 Catholic daughters

It should be illegal to have this many children. 3 max should be the law.

Yeah, you should make sure to assert the misogynistic ways our world and make sure they know they are second class. Damn women trying to assert themselves.

uuuhh... bitter much? ive gone to great lengths to raise my kids as strong individuals that rely on their strengths to succeed, i dont see any kind of misogynistic trappings in that. i told them that if they could convince their prospective husbands to take our last name instead of my girls taking his name, more power to them. im pretty sure you read my post incorrectly, based on your response.

While an argument can be made that taking the man's name is a relic of misogynistic past (although I would call that blowing it completely out of proportion)...that is not also an argument for a man taking a woman's name instead.

That's actually a reason I've been thinking it would be better if we had daughters sometimes. They get more free shit. I hadn't thought about the free shit coming from me though!

Wonder what my chances are of a daughter getting an athletic scholarship over a son...:hmm:

My parents had four boys. My older brother had two boys. Most of my cousins are boys. I figured we'd have boys and was only concerned that the children be healthy and intelligent. My wife wanted a girl pretty badly though.

We got: boy, girl, girl.
