CNN Viewers blast CNN for the wall-to-wall coverage of Hilton. CNN anchors agree with the blasting. Keep covering story anyways.

I agree.

i see no reason to up her sentance. actually i don't see where she deserved a 45 day sentance to begine with. you usually do not get a 45 day sentance for driving on a suspended. you just get the lenght of the suspension longer.

but having the sheriff do a run around the judge is BS.

Don't forget she didn't do it once, but twice. True though, just got my M1 license so stuff is still pretty fresh. You just get fined and suspended more here if you keep driving on a suspended license IIRC. Except if she got pulled over for DUI while suspended for DUI. True or not, don't recall.

Well, now they have dragged her back to jail kicking and screaming.
Somehow it only seems fair that she's ended up square in the middle of a pissing match between the judge and the sheriff that runs the jail

she wasn't originally sentenced to jail time for driving with a suspended license. she was sentenced for a parole violation of her earlier plea deal to avoid jail time on her DUI. She failed to enroll in an alcohol abuse course, and she was caught twice driving with a suspended license (one time going 70mph in a 35mph zone at night with her headlights off), both conditions of her plea agreement.

She basically took her plea agreement and tore it up.

One can only speculate why she's now getting the full 45 days as opposed to the reduced 23, but I imagine she threw a tantrum/fit at court today and managed to piss off the judge, which as a lawyer I can tell you... is never in your best interest.

I think that the standard suicide-watch protocol in prison is no clothes, no linen/blanket. Essentially nothing to off yourself with.

How would you like to be the Sheriff or whatever telling your men "No photos of Ms. Hilton, or your fired!". I don't know if a civil servant can resist making some quick profit with a camera. Then have her pull this crap. Now you are trusting your guards to not take incriminating photos to sell for a potentially more outlandish sum.

I'm glad I'm not working at that jail. I'm even more thankful that I'm not going to be dependent on a civil servant's pension from that city.

She got sent to prison for violating the terms of her probation...driving on a suspended license was only part of the picture: Text

Her sentence was reduced for "good behavior" - I don't think going apesh!t in a courtroom is good behavior

what a side show
in some ways...the humiliation of being told you can go home and then reeled back in a couple days later is worse than if she just served the sentence from the outset.

I said this would happen a month ago and one of ATOT's finest responded that 'I did not understand how the law worked'. Screw you buddy, I know how the WORLD works.

Wow, when I want legal advices, ill PM you.

Obviously I wasn't giving 'legal advices' when I made the statement that she wouldn't be in there for longer than 2 or 3 days. Anyone with half a brain knew she would not be in there for 45 days.

Well mr "right" it sure looks like she is going to be in jail for 45 days now. How much brain does that leave you with????????????????

Thanks for the link. Pisses me off everytime these asshats with money go speeding along in their expensive cars. Not like they respect the expensive vehicle, just think it's 'da shat' so they blow someone for their license and crash into real drivers.

So does this mean she could be "institutionalized?" Will she come out of pokey 45 days from now a hardened criminal, much worse than when she went in? that would be exciting to see...

His response was to another thread recently opened. Mods seemed to have moved the replies to this one and deleted it.

Between interviews, books, etc, she'll make more money from this 45 day prison stay than most people who hate her will make in 45 years.

HAHAHAHA best CNN breaking news EVER!

"A judge orders Paris Hilton back to jail, CNN confirms. She was taken from court screaming, The Associated Press reports."

Unless her therapist bill increases also as a result of her trip to prison.
