I think Finland holds the record for the biggest speeding ticket. Its probably somewhere along the lines of 200-300k$.

I think we should start a collection (I was actually thinking this the other day...). Let's gather 3-6 books that we think Paris needs to read. Books that will make her a better, more worthwhile individual. We can mail them all in one nice care package

I think you're setting the bar a little high for the reader. I think my daughter might give up her copy of "Hippos go Berserk" for the cause. If I talk to her really nicely, she might even send a Dora book or two.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The parents of Paris Hilton didn't have to wait long to visit their daughter Tuesday, raising more questions of whether the hotel heiress was receiving special treatment. The Hiltons breezed past some waiting in line for hours to see loved ones.
After her visit, Kathy Hilton said her daughter wants ''just to do her time and get on.'' She added her daughter has not had much sleep.
The visit angered some others who were waiting to see inmates. Shatani Alverson, 23, said she was hustled out of the visiting room at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility moments after her husband walked in because of the Hiltons. She was told to come back after lunch.
Alvina Floyd waited more than four hours to visit her fiance. It normally takes two, and Floyd, 20, blamed the Hiltons for the delay.
''I have to be at work later,'' she said. ''I can't wait here all day.''
Steve Whitmore, a sheriff's spokesman, deflected criticism about the Hiltons' visit. He said it was routine for high-profile inmates to receive visitors during lunch, a time when the visiting room is normally cleared out and closed.
The visit came shortly after the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors ordered Sheriff Lee Baca to respond by next week to allegations of favoritism for reassigning Hilton to house arrest after she was sent to jail for violating probation. At the time, Baca cited an undisclosed medical condition as the reason for making the decision.
The 26-year-old celebrity was later ordered back to jail. She was sent to a medical ward, where sheriff's officials said it costs $1,109.78 a day to house a female inmate compared to $99.64 a day in the general population.
County Supervisor Don Knabe said he and his colleagues had received many angry e-mails from people who believed Baca was treating the heiress better than other sick and mentally ill inmates.
Mary Tiedeman, who regularly visits the jails as a monitor for the ACLU, said the area where Hilton was being housed was usually reserved for high-security inmates or those worse off than Hilton has appeared.
''I don't know what her health issue is, but you have got to have a pretty intense medical or mental health problem to be in that part of the jail,'' she said.

As CA taxpayer, I'd like to thank the idiot judge for wasting thousands of taxpayer dollars to keep her in jail for driving on suspended license. Set her loose.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Jailed heiress Paris Hilton says she suffers from claustrophobia -- a fear of confinement in small places -- but that her time behind bars has renewed her appreciation for life's simple pleasures.
"I'm so much more grateful for everything that I have, even just to have a pillow at night or food," she told TV host Ryan Seacrest in a telephone interview on Thursday for E! Entertainment Television.
Excerpts from his 10-minute interview with the millionaire socialite, who was sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation in a drunken-driving case, were published by the cable channel's Internet affiliate, E! Online.
E! is the network that carries Hilton's reality TV show, "The Simple Life."
"I just can't wait to see my family and have a nice meal and be in my own bed and appreciate all the things I took for granted," she was quoted as saying by Seacrest, best known as host of the hit talent show "American Idol."
The 26-year-old celebrity confirmed earlier reports she suffered extreme anxiety when confined to cramped quarters.
"I'm claustrophobic, and my cell is really small," she said. "I was going a little bit crazy in the beginning. I'm getting used to it now."
Hilton began her incarceration on the night of June 2 housed alone in a standard twin-bunk cell inside a sprawling county detention center for women near Los Angeles.
After she served just three full days behind bars, county Sheriff Lee Baca released her to house arrest under electronic monitoring, citing unspecified medical problems he later described as psychological.
The following day a judge ordered her back to jail.
Baca has said he expects Hilton to be freed for good after 23 days in custody -- roughly half her original sentence -- under a standard credit applied for time served on good behavior. Depending how the sheriff's department calculates her exact time served, Hilton is likely to be released on Sunday or Monday.
