Partitioning a 120GB HD

How should I partition my new WD 120GB (JB) hard drive to get the best out of it?
I am gona be using win XP Pro.

My 2 cents worth:

5 GB for WixXP. (small volume to defrag)
35 GB for your Apps (again not too large for descent defragging)
40 GB for your files (don't really need to defrag)
40 GB for Ghosting (saves your stuff if you have a crash and can't recover data)

Don't forget that however you partition it you can rearrange the drive letters to your own specs so long as you do it before loading any apps or files, WindowsXP dosen't allways assign the drive letters in a logical sequence.

i usually do a 3-5 gig partition for the OS, and the rest i do based on what i plan on saving and installing. i would probably do something similar to what powerMarkymark suggested, except for the ghosting part - thats what my burner is for

One big C drive...thats how I have mine setup.
I set defrag to run every Tuesday and Thursday and it takes no more than 6 minutes

I second 5GB for your OS partition
When you defrag it , it won't take nearly as long.
Your OS on C: drive will be accessed quickest. (but not by much)
Put your apps on D: and partition it every so often too.

I put all apps and OS on one partition and defrag it every month or so.

I would make my primary size 10 gb and split the other 110 gb or in fourths.
