Never. I'll be here reminding you that you're owed nothing more than you produce, laughing as you cry
Sorry, sweetie, while I know altruism is a foreign concept to you, I'm not worried about me. My wife and I are both senior IT professionals, and we have decent investments. We're not missing any meals. We also don't whine about paying our fair share of the dues for living in the first-world country that supported our prosperity.

My concerns are for the millions of Americans who are not so fortunate. We are the wealthiest nation in the world; we also have a huge number of disproportionately wealthy profiteers who've built a rigged system to exploit America and Americans. We -- and they -- can afford to ensure that those who have much less still have basic necessities for a decent life, including access to good health care.

It's not about me. I've been lucky enough to have not been poor & to have some natural gifts that served me well. It started with the accident of birth & carried on from there. I'm a member of the lucky sperm club, if not Donald Trump lucky in that regard.

I try to take that into account in the way I look at other people, particularly those less fortunate. I'm not a religious man, but I believe that there but for the grace of God go I.
Well said. The real irony is that in my experience, the people who whine the most about taxes on the rich are people who aren't affected by them. They're wannabe wealthy who've deluded themselves into believing the only thing holding them back is their "high" taxes. Roflmouth seems to fit that profile perfectly.

They are the biggest victims on the planet. Millionaires who decided not to be millionaires because TAXES!

Note well, real millionaires, somehow or another, become millionaires despite big bad 1st world society and culture aka taxes.

Victimhood stacked upon victimhood, all projecting it on the libtards who are to blame, because, after all, they're the biggest victims.

Sorry, but nobody successful uses taxtaker-jargon like "fair share" and thinks the tax system in this country does anything but imperil their economic growth. Better luck next time

It's precious how well programmed you are, all the proper talking points for the billionaires' class warfare cannon fodder. Perhaps someday you'll actually get to hang around successful people. You'll learn that quite a few of us do talk that way because we appreciate what we have and are willing to look beyond our own short-term interests. In the meantime, I'm sure your wealthy masters will toss you a crumb or two. Eventually.

And by the way, America was most prosperous when effective tax rates on the wealthy were higher, when wealth disparity was much lower, and when the flourishing middle class actually got a decent share of America's growing prosperity. They probably don't teach such inconvenient facts in your RNC indoctrination school, but it's true.

There is a saying, 對牛彈琴 (dui(4) niu(2) tan(2) qin(2)), more or less "to play the lute to a cow" (although the qin(2) isn't a lute, really...).

That is what is happening here. Lulzface there is the cow. Everyone trying to talk sense, compassion, or indeed basic human decency into him is the lute player. He cannot and will not appreciate it, and it seems this is something to do with his basic nature.

All we can do is mock him mercilessly, as deserved, while we see where this is all going.

Look, if the ACA had been allowed to work through risk corridors, Medicaid expansion, 50 state exchanges, etc it would have done what it was supposed to. Reined in costs and reduced the uninsured. This would have been a boon for the Dems and Obama.

The republicans couldn't allow that. Lower priced and better healthcare is a poor benefit for higher taxes on the rich and possible damage to Republican election chances.

So they had to sabotage the ACA. They needed it to seem like the ACA was going to fail. To do that they had throw some people under the bus. You'd think that would be dem voters. But it really made more sense to target their own rural , poor, and small business voters.

Their own voters would never blame the Republicans and they would complain loudly about the ACA when they lost their healthcare, or when the premiums went way up.

Somebody like Searay paying more or losing their healthcare is really just a small price to pay to keep republicans in office and possibly get that 3.8% tax over turned.

Really those conservatives who are paying with their healthcare and premiums should be grateful they can contribute to their side winning.

We can see these things, plain as day. On and on. And yet it's sad to see the same people that suffer from the craven and punishing decisions of their leaders, continue to vote for those very same leaders, just to punish them more.

lots of self-hate in the heart of the GOP voter these days.

"Why can't I make ends meet anymore? My family did this for generations, living simply and honestly!"

"Is it because you are paying more and more every year for taxes, which you had never paid before?"

"Nah, it's because them rich folks that owned my coal mine done sold it because, as they told me, they had to pay too many taxes! so they left the US and bought 3 mansions in in the French Riviera and their 3 generations of family will never need to work again! ....because they paid too many taxes and closed the coal mine! I lost my job! Stop taxing them!"

No, none of "you" do because anyone that stupid would still be cleaning toilets down at the local high school they failed out of.

And by the way, if you're going to "and by the way," don't use it to parrot imbecilic DNC propaganda. It'll go a long way to making your lies a tiny bit more believable.

I must confess, you have me at a disadvantage. As a moral person, I am compelled to be honest and factually accurate in my posts. It is difficult to have a discussion with you when you have no such constraints.

Get well soon.

R's reform...block everyone ATM.

Shane, you hoped my HC costs would rise, right?

Some fuck did the same to this guy.

Tell us about your HC ride.
Maybe when you get promoted to the cashier position you've had your eye on, you won't be so envious of the successful.
It's so cute how you think you're entitled to other people's money. Continue throwing temper tantrums.
Never. I'll be here reminding you that you're owed nothing more than you produce, laughing as you cry
So you can't find any. Is this where I start calling you names and send 4 letter words your way saying that you can't backup what you write?

No great surprise that degenerates are always the worst commentators, and worst people in general.

Why must you comment on other posters personally? Can't you debate the issues and leave the personal stuff out of it? My guess is conservatives don't have a high opinion of you either but what's the point in going through that back and forth?

The far left has taken partisanship to a new level. Conservatives despised Barack Obama but they didn't take it the level of personally hating anyone who voted/supported him. That's unhealthy.

This is exactly what the right does. It's no coincidence they're the unhealthiest people in our country.

Cucks? Snowflakes? Buttercup? Low T? Terrorist sympathizers? Soft headed liberals? Pinkos? Tree huggers?

Need I go on?

Comparable vitriol on the Left is a much more recent development. Hell- even the term "deplorable" implies that he subject is capable of being a better person.

In my band, I played in some pretty rough redneck joints during Obama's terms. The term "kenyan commie n**gger" (or some variation thereof) was often heard from the patrons, during set breaks or while setting up. I have no doubt that any known supporter of Obama would have been taken out back and gotten their skull cracked. Last show we did at a certain smoky bar (which isn't that rough) this big ol rough dude comes glaring at us while we are setting up and demands we "turn that n**gger music off". Uh, dude that's the jukebox, we don't have our instruments out moron.

All that said, I've cut off a few people on social media on "the left" for being idiots...posting fake news and then jumping my shit when I called them on it. I'm not around anyone like some of those college students at Evergreen...but I know a lot of Evangelicals/conservatives from family and their church, neighbors/work etc. There were times they were frothing mad at Obama (and usually over something that wasn't even true, like birther bs).

I'm not really talking about heart disease and diabetes here. I'm talking about despising people based on their politics. I don't call groups of people deplorables or degenerates

Well your cohorts call people names on a regular basis, for as long as I've been alive. After all, it's what Jesus would do.

Just view the difference in name calling between left and right. The left uses terms the right needs to look up in a dictionary. The right uses "moran".

To pretend like this is a "far left" phenomenon is ludicrous, but based on your postings in this thread alone not surprising. You use this as a personal whine session, and when shown why your wrong, divert.

And by the way, mental health and physical health go hand-in-hand.

So your defense "well you guys do it too"? In this site I called out someone for calling a group of people based on their political views "degenerates". That's what I'm talking about. I was one of the folks he included.

You don't, perhaps, but there were (and are) plenty of GOPers who openly expressed their hatred for anyone on the left. Feel free to Google "libtards", "liberalsim is a mental disorder", "cucks", and similar slurs if you need examples. You're right, such blind hatred is not healthy, but it's common on both ends of the political spectrum.

No question there are extremists on both sides. I disagree that the problem is equal but we'll never agree on that. The issue here is who is an extremist? The ones using terms like degenerates sure qualify.
