They should. What the GOP wants is to set us back instead of moving forward.

What we had in 2008 is better than what we have now. At least back then I had insurance co's offering my coverage. Now I have none

Maybe if the GOP would fund it as required and enforce the law, it wouldn't be that way? Chucking wrenches into the machine is surely to fuck it all up.

Death penalty appropriate for child murderers then?
So you accept your responsibility?

Interesting.

No one wants you dead. They'd like you to be intellectually honest and perhaps re-evaluate your positions. Is it too much to ask?

What are you talking about?

As I stated, generosity has nothing to do with this.

He's talking about Obamacare making his premium skyrocket. Of course, he doesn't say why it's skyrocketing....just that it's all the ACA's fault.

Generosity? You're full of shit and a liar.

I should have known better than to debate with a hillbilly from Kentucky. You guys tend to sip the bourbon a little earlier in the day than you should. You haven't played decent football since Bear Bryant left and I ought to know. I went to that school 3 hrs south of you on I-75

So healthcare market, a supply/demand economy or no? You seemed to claim it is, and that's how it will *cough* regulate *cough* itself.

That's exactly what he and Buchshot are saying. Remove the demand by cutting people off and the prices will drop. Again, won't work unless you're denying people treatment.

It has nothing to do with generosity. That's a disgusting way to frame it.

Sure it does. The math is simple. Today 20 million more people have insurance than in 2010. Who's paying for that? The rest of us, that's who.

Throw all the insults at me you want. I'm a big boy that's never tasted alcohol of any kind and I don't care about football in the slightest. I worked my way through Engineering school while being married. I relied on nobody to get it done. I also could care less whether you went to school or not anywhere. That's not the subject at hand. You are a greedy little person who want's the "I got mine...cheaper...fuck you" type.

And those people are not relying on generosity. They are relying on our tax system operating to handle federal-level problems.

Or are you protected from the scary musslemen by the military that is generously supported by my tax dollars?

Those people aren't being cut off any more than I am. That's the point you don't seem to get. The last insurer for the individual marketplace is leaving my part of Ohio as of 6 mos from now. That's the definition of being cut off. Your definition is someone refusing to pay for your insurance. Big difference.

What I had in 1993 is better than what I had in 2008. It's not that the situation has suddenly changed. It is for those with 'selective memory'.

Insults? Since when is that an issue for you? You're the one that said I'm full of shit and a liar...and you're lecturing me about insults? Of course you don't watch football. I wouldn't either if I went to school in Lexington

Obama is gone and it's the GOP running the show now. If they can't pass something (and clearly they have a pile of steaming dung) and they can't repeal Obamacare (hard to do with well over 50% approval), they'll sabotage it to make it fail and then stand proudly and say "I told you so!".

I'm about at the point that go ahead and pass that pile of dung bill so that the GOP can really own it and either reap the rewards of a successful bill or face the gallows if it fails. I'm starting to think they hate their own bill, though, and won't pass it because they are afraid. It's a big game of chicken and partisanship and the GOP is in line to get run over first.
That wasn't the point. If you accept lawless behavior from a president because you like the result then you have no room to complain when another president does so simply because you don't like the result.

So you might have to die to save millions. You know you're going to die anyway, right?

1993 has nothing to do with Obamacare. Comparing 2008 with today has everything to do with ACA

Again, you refuse to admit that the GOP and T-Rump have been sabotaging the ACA and creating tremendous instability. Companies aren't going to deal with that. They either raise rates to account for the uncertainty or they pull out. It's forced failure by the GOP....all in an effort to get brownie points with the base and those at the top.
