That isn't how strawmen work.
You continue to lie. That is exactly how a straw man works. You twisted your opponents' actual position into a dishonest caricature you could attack more easily:

"If you disagree with the government taking over the healthcare system then you want kids to die of cancer. That is the bottom line with these guys."

Your exact words, and they materially misrepresent our actual position. Straw man.

Now I just have to attack my constructed strawman, right? I didn't and wasn't planning on attacking this position. It isn't a straw man. It is an assessment of your dishonest argumentation. Which you are free to correct.

Yet they didn't. Hard though it may be to accept, the fact is that the health care costs were skyrocketing long before the ACA, and that the rate of increase actually slowed after the ACA was implemented. We tried it your way, and it failed.
Are peoples memory that short? This quote is a fact and anyone claiming otherwise is stupid or a liar.

You're still not getting it. I want the rules dropped, not enforced
That's not what you said. You said you want insurance to offer you what you want. They have no incentive to do that if there is nothing forcing them to do so.

You want regulation by another name. If you want an unregulated insurance market, you are a damn fool.
Anytime you get the gov't to pay for your healthcare it's a goodie
And here is where you're disgusting.

More dishonesty. This isn't debate class. Your comment was an attack, in and of itself. If you don't like being called on your dishonesty, stop lying. Put on your big boy pants and accept accountability for your behavior.

If you had any interest in and capability of attacking our actual positions, you would. All you have to do is quote our actual words -- all of them -- and address them, directly and honestly. Instead, you consistently avoid our actual arguments and positions, quoting only little bits and pieces you can use as a platform to launch off yet another round of Gish Galloping.

You bury these forums in noise precisely because you lack the knowledge and intellectual ability to support your GOP talking points. You plop out a few turdlettes from rnc.org, then blast out a ton of off-topic noise to disrupt any attempts at discussion and to hide your own lack of substance.

You are welcomed to correct any factual errors I made with a rebuttal. Saying "you're lying" isn't cutting it. It wasn't a strawman, period. You can't honestly assess anything I say.

If you haven't been paying attention I don't like the RNC's approach.

I don't support the government taking over the healthcare system, I've been accused of actively praying for the death of children to cancer because of this. You wouldn't call out those outrageous remarks but when I say basically the same thing you accuse me of lying about your positions.

Instead of simply telling me what your position is you accuse me of lying.

Pretty evident fact that degenerates stack rank their own opinion about gubmint this and that far above the well being of children, which is precisely why the label fits. They literally do not give a shit if many people have to needlessly die just so they might possibly be vindicated or whatever. There simply doesn't exist a term better than complete degeneracy for this, and the GOP is simply the political party for these sorts.

Apparently because it doesn't go far enough to screw the little people who simply cannot afford coverage & therefore can't afford care.

Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.

I never said anything about FREE.

Of course you didn't. That's why you're missing the point. Free healthcare is a goodie. If you're not talking about that then your point is tangential to mine.

Except that's not what anyone in favor of single payer or medicare for all is advocating. Anyone that think's it'll be "free" is either a retard or intentionally misleading. Which bucket do you fall into?

I wasn't referring to single payer or Medicare when I made my comment about "goodies". I was referring to expanded Medicaid and Obamacare subsidies. That's the disconnect. As to whether you're a retard or intentionally misleading, I won't speculate

Obamacare didn't go far enough to help me as I can't afford coverage

I'm not missing the point at all and I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum from you on this. You think that everyone who gets FREE healthcare is getting a goodie. I'm sure there are those that are getting 'goodies', but many aren't. You can either kick people off of the system and deny them service or they can pay, otherwise, they're getting a 'goodie'.

Oh, and I guess that the FREE healthcare that my niece gets, who has Cystic Fibrosis, is a goodie too. Her treatment costs north of 1.5 million per year.

"Want" is too strong a word. You will, however, look the other way while it happens.

Because billionaires deserve tax cuts.

Obamacare taxes referred to people making in the neighborhood of $200-250K per year. Do you understand that's a far cry from a billion? Is math that challenging for you or are you intentionally embellishing the numbers so people will pay attention to you?

You are right a few fractions of a percent go to people below the top 0.1%. So it doesn't all go to billionaires.

I have no idea what your niece's situation is. If her family is paying for the premium then it's not a goodie.

Don't state what I think unless you're Miss Cleo. When I hit Medicare I will not be receiving a goodie because I will have paid into it for most of my life.

I thought that most of the Obamacare taxes were the 3.x% tax on investment income? The top .1% get over 80% of that so the overwhelming majority of the money would be from that group (of billionaires)...assuming the above is correct.
