This was in the news a couple of days ago. And yes, I wouldn't want that thing on my desktop.

I wouldn't want it on my desktop either, but under my desk, of course! What's the price on that thing?

I read about this a couple days ago too. I'm actually quite interested. I wonder what's the price?

Not as efficient as standard water cooling? How loud is standard water cooling? Yes, price is important too!

that's pretty cool, i wouldn't mind having one of those.. i wonder how well it would perform if it were cooling my vidcard and northbridge as well as the CPU..

damn $279! is a bit expensive. I already have a Maze three and eheim pump, I wonder if I can just get the torpedo?

This looks like the solution for me! Should go well with my Zalman 400w PS, Zalman 7000Cu, Zalman NB heatsink... Too bad I replaced my ZM80C-HP w/ a VGA Silencer...

If I make this switch, and get one of those new Antec Phantom PS (fanless!) then I'll be set for a silent computer, finally.

EDIT: BTW, I'm a water cooling noob, where do the hoses enter the case?

Where can you get the phantom? I wouldn't mind getting one, but can't find a retailer.

Antec has said they'll be out at the end of April!

The whole point of going with a water solution is to get great cooling with less noise than the screamer HS/fan options. I never could get the upside of a large radiator with a couple of fans blowing on it.
I've always thought the integration of heat dissipation with a reservoir would be a great idea. Now Zalman has pulled it off.

Are there any totally passive water cooling systems?

It should be doable with a tower case, if you mounted a vertical finned heatsink on one side (instead of a side panel). Convection, due to heating by the CPU, would pump the water round in the same way as in a gravity-circulated domestic hot-water system. It probably wouldn't offer awesome performance, but with no moving parts would be highly reliable and silent.

If I had your machine, and that much to spend I'd upgrade the video card, or get some REAL watercooling. For that much, you can get a very nice setup.
Currently I have spent 189.5 for:
Core
Maze3+Hoses+Clamps
DD Radeon block
DD Z-chipset
Radeon mount kit
Eheim 1250

I can guarantee the cooling will be magnitudes better than that when I get it all together. It's extrememly quiet as well.
