Mod, in this link There's a Change of Culture Coming Here . . ., frankly I find your attitude towards some of the posts very degrading. I think you need to step back and take one little look at yourself, and coming in hard and obiviously inviting people to agrue isn't the way to MOD.
And not like you can change the culture here as you do not decide the culture, to form a culture, you will need diversity and etc blah and what makes Anandtech a great forum is because of the culture that we have presently. If you try to change the culture by simply firing off bans and suspesnions to people who questions the mods, that wouldn't work as well. If I may suggest that you and the other Moderators to create a locked post in every forums stating the expectations for the new rules and so on forth, I reckon the people will have more respect for the Mods and the rules as you are being firm and done with the thread which's locked so nobody can argue with you.
Also I believe that the people of Anandtech should have a say in what they think about the Moderators even if it insults you guys as long the language is acceptable such as "I think the mods are stupid today all ticked off and blah..." Instead of "Fsck the mod and I say we stick their heads up to where they belong at" that sort of thing.
In all I felt that the way you were waving your own egoistmanic power too abusively and didn't follow the general principles in which the majority of the Anandtech populations would have liked to see the moderator to be. In all what I wanted to say was chill and lighten up a bit, I do understand the frustration you must be having, but firing them all out of the Forums is a bit silly. I do agree that we should have more firm and clear rules [new ones that is easy for everybody to understand... Take a Techinical Writing course so that every 4th grader in the 3rd world would be able to understand your rules.]
After PMing you I feel that it's a little of my duty as a poster to let my fellow members what I think about this recent situation and to share my thoughts and as well a copy of this PM to the community.
Thank you for taking the time to read this PM.
