Finally beat normal Izaro lol. This time it was easy since I was way above the zone level. Still there was a dog miniboss which almost got me. I've switched from Split Arrow to Tornado Shot now. Since I didn't look at any builds beforehand, I think I picked some sub-optimal routes on the skill tree but still it's working out so far. Character is a bit of a glass cannon but I've got some +HP items equipped as well as life leech. Potions also refill quite fast as well so I keep chugging those.

Yes premium and regular tabs go on sale every month or so. Don't think currency tabs ever have.


I'm up to one currency, 3 regular, and 12 premium.

It's the only thing I would currently consider spending money on.

I'm pretty sure I bought my currency tab on sale and I vaguely recall them going on sale at least once since then. I'm a New England yankee of many generations descent, paying full retail for anything would be cataclysmic to my psyche.

Premium and regular stash tabs go on sale almost every weekend. Currency hasn't as far as I remember, but it's fairly new. I have like 60 premium tabs.

And, I'm thinking about firing up PoE again. I've not much else to do since I beat Witcher 3 again and Fifa doesn't release for another week.

I'm having a lot of fun playing this game so I'll definitely be supporting it by buying a few tab bundles but I'll be waiting for a sale to get some more value of my poor CAD.

I've known about the game for years but was usually busy so didn't get to try it out. Definitely reminds me a lot of Diablo 2.

I wish the trading system was different though.

Trading is probably the worst thing about PoE, and depending who you ask (me), the developers being so actively listening to idiots on reddit.

If it hasn't been stressed enough, the only way to do business in PoE is using poe.trade

Broke into red maps today. Almost 89 now. Had a very... exciting Precinct map. Vaaled it (because you have to for the atlas bonus on red maps) and got temp chains, enfeeble, monster damage mods. Precinct boss is 2-6 rogue exiles. We got Willorin Demontamer and Igna Phoenix and Antalie Napora.

Used all 6 portals but we won!

Started a BV char this weekend. Having a hell of a time playing though. My connection is having packet loss and I'm dropping every so often. It is really annoying. Does appear to be the game though.

I'll also probably never 6L anything again.

Is it just me or is there no point in trading low or mid tier items in this game thanks to the trading system they have in place. I mean who seriously is going to my low tier items and why would I bother selling them anyways for a measly alteration orb against the amount of effort I'd have to put in.

Trading is a huge problem in PoE, though low level trading (alt, alch, etc) isn't that bad. The real problem is when I want to buy said item from someone who took the time to list it, but they are too busy for such a measly profit and ignore me.

Thats why I don't list anything under a chaos past the first week. If it isn't worth leaving a map for, it isn't worth listing, and to the vendor it goes.

Which is fine. You're missing out on currency (3 alchs is a chaos, for example) and not really bothering others who want to buy items listed people can't be bothered to sell.

I used to sell stuff lower than chaos in value but it ended up taking too much space and was a waste of time as Jax pointed out.

I just dumped like 13 ex into high end gear on standard for my warchief totem build. Legacy 897% Facebreakers, 30% taste of hate, and some 21/20 gems. Tried corrupting my 6L belly and got 4% chaos lol.

Bought a legacy reach too just in case I ever want to make a op bow build again.

If I don't manage to clear all Atlas content by league end I'll finish it on standard.

So, Blade Vortex is pretty much afk leveling. It's so easy. People complain about the flask spam, but years of plinking in fighting games, I can roll 4 buttons perfectly for hours.

Haven't been able to really play well lately. Comcast is pretty much the worst company on the planet. Having like 10% packet loss no matter what I do, and it makes PoE near unplayable.

The Premium stash bundle is finally on sale so I bought that but I'm still waiting for the currency tab to go on sale, not that I would have much of anything to put into it yet.

I found Act 1,2,3 of Cruel difficulty a breeze, in fact Act 4 of normal probably had harder bosses. I'm now in Cruel Act 4 and global chat (ppl are pretty helpful usually) just told me to level at Dry Lakes before taking on the final boss.

I find that before Merciless Act 3 you can ignore most parts of defense (resists and such). But Dominus and beyond is a bit difficult without capped resist and a good life pool.

When will I need Chaos resist? I've just made it to Merciless and my resistences are so low now thanks to that penalty, esp. chaos. It's sitting at -40% since I've only found 1 decent item which gave me +20%.

This has lately been my priority for selecting gear (besides weapons): better resists, +HP, +%evasion, +evasion. It's still hard though to find items which fit the bill. I've still got the same Quiver I found in normal Act 1 (it gave me +25 to Str and Int, +40 Agi) and I haven't found anything better yet.

Edit: It took me like 15 mins in the final Act 4 cruel fight, I spent 99% of my time running around, dodging since I knew he could basically 1 shot my ranger. A pimped out Siege Ballista turret along with an annoying Ice golem did most of the work lol.

For the most part, you can ignore chaos damage. The things that do that type of damage are either extremely noticeable (poison clouds, poison, etc) or not particularly important.

For gear, pick a defensive stat (eva it looks like). Look for high maximum health (70+), resistances (you want 169 in your hideout ideally).

Thanks I didn't get a chance to play it today but from now on I'll selecting gear by looking at defensive stats only. I'm already doing enough damage but my char is pretty much getting one shotted by some bosses so...

Like I went to do the cruel Labyrinth a couple days ago and I beat his 1st form and the dog pretty easily. I get to the 2nd form fight, he comes out of the ground and I die within 1 sec. It was so fast that I didn't even see what hit me.
