Yeah I’m not counting on it. The hype this game is getting is insane.

“We quite frankly don’t know what our backend services are going to be able to handle as we go above a million users,” Rogers said. “We’ve added more database shards, scaling everything we have up as far as it’ll go, but we’re really not sure what kind of limits we might hit. We never expected things to go this big during early access.”

I'll check it out at some point. Really enjoyed the first one but didn't really keep up with everything that got released for it.

Think it would be best to get in early. I had joined POE after a few leagues and it was overwhelming with the content. For POE2, I'll start playing at actual launch. Probably no loot filter mod in EA.

Smooth sailing for me so far. I had to wait only about five minutes in queue. My mercenary is level 7.

Played it a bit the last 2 days, i did not enjoy my first try at the monk, mercenary was a bit better but so far absolutely loving the sorcerer, i couldn't get into POE1 but i'm really enjoying 2

Been playing this weekend, currently in Act 2. I am really enjoying the game, taking my time. Had a little bit of a bump but figured out how to link PS5 to PC account so that was great (it's in your profile on POE.com and you give it or xbox etc permission).

Totally different style of combat, which to me is refreshing, zooming and booming can get old. Maybe this will get old, I dunno but I love the style. Drops are... rare, I feel like they could use a slight tune UP like 10-15% but I know what they are going for. Otherwise my only REAL complaint is you can't trade uniquies until level 25. So if you are partying, a unique gets allocated to your buddy but can't use it... welp he's stuck with it until level 25. No you can't drop it either. The only work around would be if you have short allocation, see the item type isn't something your class would use and just don't pick it up until anyone can and then maybe someone else who can use it then picks it up.

Yes and no.

The following is based on PoE 1.

It is an ARPG like Diablo. It has an extremely complex skill tree system which you can engage with in various ways. Many people post builds which you can just copy. If you choose to just go blind you will wind up with a sub optimal build and will most likely hit a wall eventually. PoE 1 used a really bad (IMO) point system which only gave you a limited number of refund points, so you can easily ruin a character if you don't follow a guide. Even still, you can easily get 20+ hours of gameplay out of a character just selecting skill points blind. Optimization really only matters for the endgame.

The game is online only, but you don't actually need to play with others. The instances are solo if you so choose. There are hubs that everyone is in where you can chat or trade with others.

PoE 1 does league resets a few times a year which introduces some new mechanic into the game. Similar to how Diablo 4 is doing seasons, but IMO PoE does the new mechanics better.

IMO PoE 1 story is forgettable/borderline bad, but the gameplay is fun. Worth a play if you enjoy ARPGs.

I haven't looked into how PoE 2 handles all this yet. Since it is still early access I am holding off since I have way too many other games to play. Will look at it at full release.

saw that - some good changes. Gemcutters were in essence beefed up 500%

I'm entirely stuck on Jamanra (?) near the end of Act 2. I simply can not beat this boss and I just can't bring myself to slog through the level over and over to level up.

That sucks. I haven’t reached that boss yet. From what I’ve read, you need a substantial amount of lightning resistance. At least grinding more currency will be easier with the release of this patch.

yeah - spent what I had on 2 topaz rings and it def helped. But still died. Closer, but died.
Summoner sucks for bosses - in most boss battles they give you no corpses to raise more zombies. I also use contagion and that has little effect when there's only 1 enemy on the screen.

Try rejigging you gem setup for more single target or check the vendors for better gear. You may need to farm an area to get a few uncut gems to help that out. When I was struggling with a boss a bit of gem rejigging and even tinkering with the key binds to make combos easier to setup worked a treat for me.

Yeah - when I get to bosses I swap out to different gems - skeletal arsonist to skeletal sniper for example. The former is great for clearing, the latter better for bossing. Still barely moves the needle. I know it's EA so I'm not complaining. I might have to look up a summoner build guide and see what I can improve without "guessing"
