the blighted maps are a huuuuuge source of XP. people are going to grind high tier blights and reach lvl 100 in a much shorter time this league.

meanwhile, i'm still league starting with my Inquisitor obsession, i really want to make this one work. i'm going with a Tectonic Slam+Multistrike full ele conversion crit two handed inquisitor. if i get the full ele penetration and warlords mark blashpamy (later ring) i could do charged slams all the time hopefully and crit my way to millions of deeps.
starting out with cheap gear, later get a Kaom's Heart and sell my wife for a 7-link 2-hander.

Hmmmm.... so you're saying I should be doing those blight pumps for XP? I guess I didn't notice. I can't even tell how many monsters are even been spit out. It's just a screen of effects and every once in a while I see a little hammer pop up that I click on to upgrade 2 mins later I open some chests. I guess I will have to pay better attention to the XP gained by doing some.

That and I guess I don't really understand which towers to build. Is there any identifier as to what the mob(s) are vulnerable to or something that I'm missing?

I've never had a 6 link drop for me (besides Tabula) .
Just made it to maps last night and then went to sleep. Could have made it to maps on Sunday but I did something different this league... I listened to all the quest NPC dialogue lol, and all the things they say about each other. ALL the text on NPCs is greyed out.

Isn't that an actual challenge? I think there's one to listen to all NPC dialogue or something? I know it's horrible, but story-line and such in games never interested me. Only one that ever made me interested at all was HL and HL2. No matter the genre or game I just flew through that stuff. Impatience I guess.

Also 'Well Connected' achievement for six linking an item that I don't have yet. I've been wasting fuses in Standard on Windrippers since wayyy back... Essence I think, I'm either close to 5k or over fuses in on them, I've got a couple 5 links but no sixes yet.

I actually did 6-link an item many leagues ago. Only took like 100 or so tries and "blammo"

Memory is fuzzy, but wasn't there a time when while trying to link sockets, even if you got max links, it would allow you to drop another fusing on it? Like, while spamming, you could hit 6-Link and fly right by it if you weren't paying attention?

Yes, with 6 sockets and 6 links it stops you.

Spent some money and bought cheap versions of "end gear" for my character - lots of +gems and such missing, but wanted to get an idea of the general feel of the skills and such. Overall I like it. It's a little slower moving than I'd like, and I really dislike flame dash as a movement skill (much prefer shield charge, but no teleport with the latter). When I get all 10 skeletons up, with 3 specters, and 8 zombies (with their phantoms) it's pretty big mob that generally mows through things. Toss in cyclone generating frenzy/power charges and not much stands a chance. Still debating on which specters to use (have 2 solar guards and 1 frost sentinel now)

Missing a couple of key pieces (expensive). But thus far happy. Just hit T6 maps. Have a couple lower tiers missing still.

This build (thus far) keeps continuing to impress. Added discipline and precision last night (via unset rings with +level sockets) and the mob got a huge boost. Replaced Skeletons with Vaal Skeletons so when I hit a boss, I just pop the Vaal and Bone Armour, hit cyclone and it's over in seconds. Otherwise I just use my quickflask and run through maps.

My only problem right now is that with discipline, precision and hatred all running, I dont have enough mana to raise single skeletons. I don't NEED them right now but obviously that's not ideal. I gotta get more mana or figure out something else.

You need to re-arrange your gems and put your discipline and precision together with a level 3 enlighten. That will give you about 100 mana unreserved.

Yeah I know I can do that (and actually have a enlightened almost leveled up just in case).

But, per the guide, it shouldn't have to be that way. I'm just a few mana points away from having enough to pop skeletons and it regens so quick I can keep them going. I just need to find a new piece of gear with a few drops of +mana on it.

That's true.
And that explains why I was able to raise skeletons at one point and then all of a sudden I wasn't (with no change in gear etc).
I must have leveled one (or more) of the gems and not even realized it. Ha!

I forgot to mention too, I ran my first blighted map last night. You were right about the XP. You get A LOT. That being said, those maps are murder for your PC. Per reddit that seems to be the agreement. I hardly have a "high end" PC... let alone a modern PC, but I can't imagine trying to run a blighted map. Not to mention one with an actual party. There's no way a PC could keep up with that. I could do nothing but sit in more or less one spot, spam skeletons and keep my charges up. Moving around and trying to upgrade towers was useless as it was a slide show. I don't see what they were thinking with this... I would venture to believe that most players have medium to below medium hardware and have similar experiences.

I haven't really seen any comments about the trade API but I've checked a few times on official trade website and I appear offline for up to an hour after I start playing. Since I basically only usually get to play for 1h at most, that means I can't really sell items...
Edit: I should add, quite a few people I see online on the trade API are actually offline once I message them.

I have a question on Soul Eater via the Unending hungry jewel...
This is supposed to give my Specters a 50% chance at getting Soul Eater (assuming +40 intelligence in radius which I do have). Though I'm not sure if it's working. Shouldn't I see the Soul Eater buff icon in my top row if/when it's granted? I'm never seeing it. Maybe it doesn't show for minions and you just have to assume/hope it's actually triggering?

Hmmm I haven't had any issues trading. And I'm the same way = maybe an hour at a time playing. Hell I often price things too low and I get spammed withing secs of adding it to my stash.

Nice! I've had two Exalt drops and 2 Tabulas too. Corrupted both and got 30C for each.
I really messed up my gloves yesterday and stupidly, in a fit of anger, wasted nearly 700 chromes trying to get them back. Ended up just buying replacements for 10C. What a disappointment.

I still have a few missing yellow maps but just hit reds and starting to go through those. Had to remove my IR gem in my 6L for Controlled Destruction just for a little added boost of power/confidence. Though I think I'm still safe with trying to use the IR for some added loot.

I'm still entirely unclear about my Unending Hunger jewel and if it's working or not. It was a decent size investment so I guess I need to find out. Maybe I'll post on the reddit sub today.

If anyone ever wants to party up, just let me know. It gets lonely sometimes out there

This may be pathetic, but couple of firsts for me today - killed Syndicate boss solo and Elder solo as well. Never done that before.
Still need a much better chest piece - 190 ES doesn't cut it, but 6L is so nice.

I'm already bored of the league. Haven't done blighted maps yet because of their issues (I've got three) but I've already gotten bored of Blight itself. Poison assassin is fun, lots of damage and active playstyle. So far I was only playing because I really liked the new Masters mission changes. My FPS just drops to zero whenever I try Betrayal so they haven't fixed that.
