So what's the money making angle with this?
Took a look at some of the microtransactions and they aren't terribly priced. Making your weapons glow (and it is reusable on every weapon you get) is real nice. I especially like the idea of transferring item skin.
This is going to kill it for me. I had initially been thinking that this might be a viable alternative to the significant disappointment that I felt over Diablo 3. The fact that there is built into the structure of the game, Micro-transactions (no matter how appropriately priced or useful) sours the entire thing for me. Shame really as I was hoping for something new to play. Best to move on though.

Speed runners are crazy; by the end of last night people were already in the 50's. I started right at release for a bit and by the time I was level 4 the top was level 12; granted he was being carried by a team of people rushing him. He ended up dying at 52 though haha.
I got to 18 playing the Nemesis league with my Ranger. Some of those mods are pretty crazy but make it awesome.
I am making no statement what so ever except that I have seen companies use micro-transactions (in gaming and in other products) in ways that I do not find to my liking. I am making a decision for me and me alone.
Maybe because I work in marketing, I know how some companies view consumers and how they treat them that has jaded me towards marketing in general. Or maybe I am merely shooting myself in the foot for no reason. I just prefer only to support buy to play games where the outlay cost is stated prior to purchase and remains flat and unchanging. there is, in my mind, far too much opportunity for abuse otherwise.
but understand.. I have the same Stance On Origin and the new XBONE.. you tell me you going to screw my on used games, DRM, etc.. find out NOBODY will buy, and then change.. sorry, you knew screwing the consumer was wrong to start, you just tried to slide it by.. trying it fook your target audience and then changing cause you cant is not winning me over. And i don't forget you tired to fook me over, you will again when the chance presents itself.. cant understand how so many are forgetting so quick..
Is it kind of Dark like Diablo 1 & 2?
There were a few emergency patches last night, but other than some disconnect issues, the game is running really well. I am actually surprised how far along it has come since the beta. It still lacks a bit of polish and no damage floating numbers is super annoying, but I am enjoying it. Now that I'm done with Diablo, I will probably switch to this.

My only real complaints center around selling things to the vendor or putting them in the stash. Let me please right click for them to go in!
I think it's shift click to move them instead of right click. Been several weeks since I've played, so I don't remember 100%, but there is a shortcut so you don't have to drag and drop.
