Now you can argue about the value/import of his claim. As I just said, even though all the evidence is circumstantial, it doesn't mean the prosecution doesn't have a strong case

It all comes down to this. The State will basically eliminate every other reasonable explanation until the jury can only conclude exactly what happened, despite lack of direct evidence.

Yeah, into the 3rd page and I don't think a single post is defending him, which is pretty amazing.

The whole thing is still pretty unbelievable. I mean the circumstantial evidence is damning, as is his conduct during the investigation, but it is hard for most people to wrap their head around motive. Guy is a multi-millionaire, victim is only casually linked in terms of relationship, and it isn't spur-of-the-moment but he actually has to go back to his house, lure the victim, get friends, etc.

The only explanation is that Hernandez is a head case which there is a history of, obviously not to this extent. The fact they are tying him to an earlier double-murder actually explains this more, that he is just a psychopath.

I have no doubt he is guilty.. but again what I keep going back to is I do not see any logic at all in him killing this person. What a moron. I mean at least with O.J. he is a psychopath but run-of-the-mill jealous ex husband.. this one just confuses me.

The double homicide in Boston last year is kind of the lynchpin to this IMHO. Breadcrumbs are starting to link back to this other guy maybe knowing info about that. Maybe he was getting ready to go to the cops about it or tell another rival group who did it.

The Patriots are offering exchanges on any Hernandez #81 jersey purchased before the murder...

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-free-exchanges-on-hernandez-jerseys/related/

While this is a great gesture/act for the Patriots to do, it should have been done after he was found guilty of a crime. It doesn't look good for him but has innocent until proven guilty been completely thrown out the window?

I guess they don't want everyone wearing a Hernandez jersey next Halloween.

You mean physical evidence. People misuse circumstantial and direct evidence. It doesn't help when you have lawyers using circumstantial wrong(including Hernandez's lawyer). Most evidence is circumstantial, that includes physical evidence. Circumstantial evidence is where inferences have to be made(you have to connect the dots). Direct evidence is eye witness testimony of what someone saw/heard/felt(pain).

And it appears they DO have direct evidence(sealed sworn affidavit) and plenty of non physical circumstantial evidence that is pretty damning and easy to infer guilt from. Ive seen cases of people convicted and executed with far less evidence.

Why do I get the feeling that the jersey's will eventually sold on Ebay for big $$ so thugs can add a important piece to their wardrobe..

Well, the Pats buying them up is going to cause a shortage in supply so... yeah.

What happened to the Rae Carruth jerseys? Holy shit, Rae Carruth gets out in 4 years.

When you fuck up so badly that being proven guilty is merely a formality, then yes

I'm betting that there are enough people buying the jerseys right now hoping that they'll increase to insure that they won't increase.

I can't imagine Hernandez jerseys are still available, unless you mean people are buying them used...

Your imagination needs a good tune-up.

The official NFL shop pulled them. Everyplace else that sells NFL gear, and that's thousands of places, are still selling them.

People who invested in Paula Deen cookbooks and Hernandez jerseys are going to make a fortune.

They did a funny thing on the radio this morning where Belichek and Brady were analyzing Hernadez lack of preparation. In the end they agreed if he couldn't master a simple execution he wasn't going to be any help to the Pats this year.

You've said that word twice in this post. Stop giving psychopaths a bad name. No real psychopath would kill someone like this.

It's just business. has nothing to do with court proceedings. The Patriots shouldn't be beholden to these social notions of justice that we have--well, insofar as they are essentially unrelated to how they conduct business, you know.

He is no longer a member of their organization and to a great degree, Techs is probably right: The Pats would probably like to reduce the Hernandez costumes this halloween.

I also find it kinda crazy that the Dallas Cowboys still have Josh Brent on the team 7 months after the intoxicated manslaughter charge that killed a teammate and multiple counts of marijuana possession. The Cowboys organization (starting with Jerry Jones) is a joke, both on the field and in the front office
