the nfl refs have always been anti-pats. hell, they created a new rule just for them after the first superbowl win.

The announcers were talking about a new rule this year. Something about when a receiver is engaged with a defender after a catch, he has to hit the ground to have a complete pass. Meaning, if the ball and defender arrive at the same time, the receiver gets 2 feet down, it's still not a catch and cannot then be a fumble.

Seems like utter stupidity to me.

Well, that rule and the play seemed to me to be in the same class as "The Tuck" and "Leaping." For those of you that know what I'm talking about, it's all BS. Either way, I'm "glad" it turnded out well for Rivers and the Chargers on this one.
