Oakie WAS the god of trance as far as I'm concerned. I was always a metalhead who wouldn't listen to much else.. a friend had a trance tape that I really liked though, this was years back btw. I resisted it for years, but finally got Creamfields, and was simply blown away by cd1. After getting much more into trance and making it my 3rd favorite genre after metal & classic rock, I realized (after finally buying it) that Oakenfold's Tranceport was the tape my buddy had that I liked all those years ago. I've since gotten a couple of perfecto CDs and I want more, damnit!

Fixed for my opinion.....his stuff form '99 is, in my mind, truly awesome...however, recently, I have found other DJs to be far more skilled in the trance genre than Oakey....he has gone more House/Techno in my mind, and has branched away from the Trance. Artists like Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten currently have a firm grip on the trance genre right now, and I truly enjoy listnening to them. I DLed most of the EMs KeyserSoze listed and will take a listen soon (going to college in a week....plenty of time there im sure ) And I'm sure I will be amazed! But thanks to both KeyserSoze and [/b]Anubis[/b] for these great reccomendations! Its great to have other trance gurus around here

I once pretended to listen to Paul Oakenfold to bang this smoking hot chick I met at a Best Buy (I was shopping, she was working). Surprisingly, it worked without a hitch, she never even questioned like "what's your favorite song"--her eyes just lit up. Came up in convo several times before the confirmed kill too.

Throughout all this, I've somehow managed not to have ever heard a single Oakenfold song, even though one of my best friends was featured on the same PS2 game soundtrack as him (Akrobatik, on "Frequency"). I hear he's the sh!t if trance is your thing tho. :thumbsup:

it's gonna be difficult to get hosted....with only 1 or 2 people...the torrent will go slow. And knowing some of the people around here...there will be a lot more leachers than seeders

Direct link wouldn't work if you need to register, but .torrent files are typically only 50-300kb, the size of a jpg picture. Anyone mind hosting that?

I signed up at that site...got the torrents (I'm using shareaza) and it tells me "Tracker Down" no sources. Had my comp on all day trying to download the mixes with no luck, what's the deal here? Am I using the wrong program?
