I personally find it sad that two people died, but I find it more sad that all the people crying over the death of a celebrity doesn't give two craps about all the people dying in car crashes each and every day. I don't feel like I'm the crass one for making fun of those people's double standard.
I was wondering why it bothered me so much that he died, but someone explained that it's because you have these people in your home - you watch their movies, you know what they do for work, you've talked about them, you've quoted their lines - even though you don't personally know them, you're acquainted with them in a way, which is why it feels like a loss. Nearly 100 people die every day in car accidents in America, but you're not familiar with them, which is why it doesn't get the same level of attention as celebrities do.
I enjoyed the movies. Sad to see him go.
