- vid shows the speed limit sign on the ground - now 45mph instead of 30mph. Not that it matters.
- there are dark blankets there - are they covering the bodies? Because you'd figure the ME would've taken them by then regardless of the bodies' conditions.
- no word on whether they were conscious after the crash - the son and someone else tried to free them to no avail - were they struggling in the car trying to get out?
The ironing...
Straight up bullshit. They absolutely were driving recklessly (and definitely speeding). Complain about people cracking jokes but defending what is clearly the reason for the wreck is just absurd.
Also the fire likely started by the engine. These cars have special fuel tanks that are made to withstand wrecks and not catch on fire, most of the fires on high end sports cars originate from the engine bay.
I guarantee that plenty of the one's on here whining would be making similar jokes about people they didn't like. There's a lot of hypocrites on here.
Fuck! :\
seemed like a good well-rounded dude. You don't get a lot of those anymore in Hollywood.
I wouldn't be surprised if alcohol was somewhat involved....but I could see the joyriding aspect of a sports-car going out of control even without it.
Sad to see this, but given the reckless speed they must have been going, I'm glad it was them rather than some innocent pedestrian
Look up Porsche and their choice of fuel tanks bro. I hope they vacation you. These are not airplanes.
Sixty-one percent of highway vehicle fires and 35 percent of fatal highway vehicle fires originated in the engine, running gear, or wheel area of the vehicle.
The leading factor contributing to the ignition of highway vehicle fires was mechanical failure (44 percent).
Insulation around electrical wiring (28 percent) and flammable liquids in the engine area (18 percent) were the most common items first ignited in highway vehicle fires.
That car took a hell of a wallop, imo. Dead at impact would be my guess.

There's obviously no point to discussing anything with you.
There's obviously no point to discussing anything with you (durr, really I thought the wing meant this thing could fly), and I don't want to derail the thread to make it all about you. Just wanted to say, you've talked out of your ass this whole thread and you're wrong on this.
Hey what's this, the fuel tank for the Carrera GT, and its located behind the passenger compartment between it and the engine?
Oh and what's this:

Actually this looks somewhat bad for Porsche as the tank rupturing and being placed right next to the engine might have been the reason it went up like it did with the gasoline spilling onto the hot engine compartment. Although I'm guessing they found the carbon fiber surrounding it would be strong enough that it would take a wreck of significant enough force to rupture the tank in that spot, a wreck that likely would be capable of killing the occupants on its own.
TBO it looks like the car almost disintegrated to the point that no fuel tank design no matter how robust was going to remain intact, hell the hood and parts of the front grill are the only bits that even resemble car parts.
Possibly, although there are fuel cells for racing designed to handle wrecks like this, which I'm actually fairly surprised a Porsche of this level didn't use. Its a shame they didn't put it in the front it might have made the difference as far as the fire is concerned.
That is one badass little tree.
