Pay check is "Pending" online, can I use it?

I'm using Wells Fargo. My paycheck is direct deposit. I'm using it to pay off my credit card. Credit card bill is due on the 11th, Monday. I doubt the pay check will leave pending till late Monday (seems like thats what usually happens if it shows up on a Sat).

The paycheck shows as pending. But it is also showing up in the accounts available ballence. Should I use it?

It could be made available immediately by your bank since its pretty much guaranteed to clear.

Also, does your CC company note the payment immediately or when its actually processed? AMEX notes the payments immediately but it might take 2+ days to hit the bank...do NOT play the float game but conceivably you can make the payment now and not worry about it.

your paycheck is direct deposit, therefore it is available immediately. that's why it shows up as part of your available balance.

As long as you trust that it's going to go through I'd just pay it.

Ok. Thanks. I'll pay it.

Payment to the credit card are same. they show as pending, but work fine for the bill. I've done that before.

I try not to play the float game, but last couple months have gotten crazy. Next month won't be bad thankfully.
