somewhere between 25% to 35% MONTHLY Interest rate anywhere between 800% to 800% annual interest rates

They will probably charge you $20 for the paperwork alone

Those payday places are pretty much a major scam.
Credit Card Advances are a rip off, but less of one than the payday loan places.
Hell, you are better off using a pawn shop than a payday loan.

I'd say if possible, borrow the money from your parents. If you feel bad about asking, just offer to pay some amount of interest or a fee (maybe the $20 you were planning on handing over to the payday loan place).

Not a chance in hell I would loan "a friend" $10K - and I would hope that anyone that considers me their friend would never ask me for more than $15 for lunch because they left their wallet at home on accident.

I'll give you two thousand now, and another ten when we reach Alderaan.

Wow, that didn't take long did it. What happened to that startup business of yours?

It's starting to come together now. I don't suppose the people that were offering you $1.75 million were from Nigeria, would they be? But fist you have to send them another ~$400 soon if you want the money deposited?

Caught in a massive, internet lie.

I got an ad from one of those type of the places in the mail, as I was tossing it out, I noticed the terms on the back was just a hair below 3000% APR if that gives you an idea of the raping you'll get.

$20 interest for 2 weeks of borrowing $400 is 130% annual interest.

Bring some lubricant with you if you go to one.

Here it is $45 to borrow $300 for 14 days. APR is 391%

You probably shoulda taken that 1.7million dollar offer.

So he has a start up that someone is willing to pay 1.75 mil for yet he hasn't got $400 cash anywhere????

I was about to post that link MrChad posted. The OP's threads don't seem very consistent. Something doesn't add up.

I have a full time job. I also have a startup company I am working on in my spare time. Startup has been accepted to a Washington University sponsored incubator. I am supporting both myself and the startup (which has minimal costs). During an "elevator pitch" contest setup by the Incubator, my pitch was heard by a guy who was looking to buy a company. Over a few months, he made an offer, but after consulting the Incubator and my other investors, we declined.

It's been slow at work, and I earn salary+commission. For the past few months, things have been dry, so I am only getting salary. Between supporting the startup, moving, a car accident and a few other mishaps, I'm short this month by $400 and would rather not borrow money from my family.

I did get that offer, sorry, but I'm not going to go out of my way to prove it. This is a forum and I don't care to prove anything to you guys.

You probably have $500 overdraft protection on your checking account...use that.

In internet terminology this invariably means "I am full of shit."

if you are a member of a credit union, you can likely get a short term signature loan for a reasonable rate

Use your fucking credit card cash advance. I know why you won't borrow money from your family -- they lost all faith in you. All 19 of your shareholders are family members, and you wasted their money.

And anyone claiming to be smart enough to manage a company valued at $6,000,000 (BULLSHIT) would be smart enough to not even consider pay day cash advances.

You are a liar and a tool. You thought ATOT would be too stupid to see that? Haha, you're a laughing stock.

$200... trying to avoid that too.

You're avoiding overdrafting your account, but considering a payday loan? If I didn't think you were full of shit about your ~$2 million start up company, I definitely think you're full of it now. Payday loans are awful, why the fuck wouldn't you use overdraft from your bank accounts instead?

A coworker of mine got caught up in that web, sucks when you can't pay anything else because you are trying to pay off the loan sharks.
