I can't say enough good things about this game and Overkill in general. I've owned it since release, have about 150 hours of play time into it and still regularly get my friends together to play. The DLC isn't too far off and is supposed to expand the game by about 50%. Better still the overkill guys are regularly on the Steam forum for the game and are into the community (the most recent update added the names of 200 regular players in random spots in game). If you have a crew to play with you will really enjoy this game.

It is a squad based shooter with a mechanic that is very similar to Left4Dead. There are four main characters, when you don't have enough people to play all the characters, the AI will take over for a character. It is certainly much better (and much easier) with four people.

It isn't 'bad' as much as not really how the game is designed. There will be actions that you need to complete at various points in the levels, when you are playing solo, you will have to complete all of them yourself. This puts you in harms way quite a bit and also limits the strategy as far as defending areas and holding choke points. You can probably play on some of the easier levels, but the harder ones will have you pretty frustrated
