I don't think Newegg takes Paypal anymore. It's not one of the payment methods in their customer service FAQ. Too bad, since they're the only place that has the Biostar 965PT. I guess I can always get a Gigabyte S3 from Mwave or Ewiz.

OK, so I didn't click through enough of the checkout process to see it, but Paypal is definitely not in their customer service FAQ or anywhere else on the website. If it works, great.

# Excluded Transactions. The following transactions are excluded from this offer: Send Money transactions, payments to Personal Accounts, eBay payments made to Personal Accounts, donations, PayPal Mobile transactions, payments for services, Virtual Debit Card payments, PayPal ATM/ Debit Card payments, payments made when you are not logged into your PayPal account, and PayPal Plus Credit Card payments not made through your PayPal account.

So does that mean I wont get $15 back if i buy something on an normal ebay auction?

I'm still concerned that there's nothing about this offer on paypal's website anymore. With the google checkout discount it wasn't a big deal because the discount showed up during the checkout process, but with this there's no way of knowing if it worked until May.

Registered for my $15 a few days ago and bought a $31 item from Newegg two days ago. Thanks OP. Hopefully we'll get our $15.

nm... also wondering whether many of the ebay payments will be disqualified due to being to personal accounts, although i would think that those with higher feedback counts would have the premier accounts by now, so perhaps look at that as an indicator...

# Registration. You must first register for this offer on http://paypal.promotionexpert.com/greatshopping/signup/index.html using your PayPal account's primary email address. You are only eligible for this offer if you receive this offer in an email sent to you directly from PayPal.

It says you are only eleible for this offer if it was sent to you in an e-mail directly from Paypal.

But then again, if it is actually on the payapal web page, I don't understand......

Anyone?

"You are only eligible for this offer if you receive this offer in an email sent to you directly from PayPal."

I think they changed the terms because it originally didn't say that.

I would be caution about using it now.

And hope Paypal doesn't screw me. I signed up when the promo was initially released and that clause wasn't in there, but I didn't purchase anything till a couple days ago.

Looks like they may have changed the terms. Would be cautious if signing up now.

I just saw this change at the Hard Forum thread. I didn't get an email invite, but when I tried to sign up again, it gave me an denied response for one account, and a "you're already signed up" for the other. Who knows? That's pretty cr@ppy changing requirements in mid-stream.

WTF?

I'm not good enough to get a "special offer e-mail from Paypal"?

How do they decide who gets and who does not get an e-mail?

Sounds weird to me. Why would they offer $15 off $30 anyway?

"Hey! Let's give away free money!"

"Hey! Let's pretend to give them $15 off $30 then take it away!"

Dumba$$e$...

I suppose you can re-enter your email for the offer. If it says you're already registered and only need to register once, I *guess* that would mean that you're fine.

Yeah, if you read the terms, pay close attention to #6

"The $15.00 USD rebate will be deposited into your PayPal account by May 28, 2007. If you made your purchase in Canadian Dollars you will receive the Canadian Dollar equivalent of $15.00 USD at the day of the rebate payment. "

I'm surprised that so many member jumped in without knowing all the terms.

I don't see what the big deal is...so it takes 3 months to get the 15.00...you still get it.

And I doubt they will be denying claims just because they added an e-mail clause that no one is getting.

Well I got denied the offer for some reason too and I'm even a longtime PayPal Premiere member. I wonder what algorithm they use to decide who gets the offer and who does not. PayPal has been rather irritating lately (for me anyway).

Yesterday they misleadingly signed me up for the PayPal Credit card when I was trying to update my credit card on file there, a process I've done many times and know how to do, only this time they signed me up for the PayPal credit card at the same time without a word about it in the process. Now I'm wondering if their signing me up will affect my credit rating, though I called to cancel the card immediately it was too late as it had already gone through so now I wait 60 days for them to fully undo the credit card application. Nowhere on any pages did it say anything about signing up for the PayPal Card, it just said they had to "verify my identity" just after the card expiration update and I thought this must be part of updating your credit card on file.. it wasn't. Use caution when updating your account as there is either a website flaw or they are fraudulently tricking people into signing up for the PayPal Credit Card. I really wish they were more careful with how they treat their customers.

Ever buy a rebated item from Circuit City?
If so, you ought to be used to such behavior.

Do you have Paypal tied to a checking account or a credit card.

so far reading this forum, and myself, people tying checking accounts to pay-pal are not getting the offer....
