I'm using my primary (and only) bank account. I don't know much about it though, so I'm not certain whether it's a good idea or not.

You should be fine as long as your remember to veerify your account with paypal for security reasons when they they send you an email. Remember, this is done for your protection.

i created a second checking account just for paypal...when i need to pay, i just transfer it online before I pay...i keep a $1 balance in there otherwise ....

i have heard horror stories when a transaction is in dispute (whether justified or not), Paypal will freeze the account until it is resolved. sometimes this can take months....

I would strongly recommend this....

FSCK NO!

I asked my Credit Union to open a 2nd checking account only to be used for Paypal transactions.

Had a second account, till it sat on 0$ too long and the bank closes.

Now I just request checks from them, no way I'd connect it to my main accounts. If I ever need money for something, I just sell some junk first.

Hell no.

same here. my paypal-linked acct isn't even at the same bank as my primary acct. I don't trust those fvckers.

Exactly what I did. Furthermore, that back account never holds more than $1 in it.

They can't freeze your checking account.

They can't touch your checking account.

They can't freeze your checking account.

They can't touch your checking account.

if they ever get hacked, said hacker can drain your checking account pretty quickly.

NEVER EVER link paypal to primary bank account.

www.paypalsucks.com if you want verification why.

If someone pays you for say a computer with a stolen credit card and 3 months later paypal doesn't get paid, they take all the money in your account and there isn't really much you can do about it!

They will not take the money out of you bank account.

If someone disputes the charges, PP will take the money from your PP account until the issue is resolved. However, they can not go into your personal back account and withdrawl funds.

I need to get this changed. I have it linked to my checking which is my primary account. I guess I should open a savings account or link it to another account at a different bank that I already have.

i have an account but still have doubts on linking it to my primary account.
However, since I am not a merchant/retailer that need constance paypaling, I have no intent in creating a new bank account strictly for paypal.
