SORRY PBS, NOT HBO
Just saw this Sunday. http://www.pbs.org/pov/thewarshow/
A look at the Syrian revolution from the POV of a young film maker who was part of the initial uprising in Syria during the "Arab spring" to present day. IMO, this documentary should be shown to all high school Juniors and Seniors (with parental permission). The young people in the documentary were ordinary young adults who could have been any young person in the USA...except they happened to live in Syria.
If anyone has not seen this film, I suggest you do so. (Link above). As a teacher, I think our youth would benefit from watching peers struggle and die in Assad's Syria as a contrast to the life they now sometimes take for granted in the USA.
Of course everyone should see this to better understand the present day conflict in Syria.
