PC-2100 registered ECC work with Athlon FX boards?

I've got two sticks of PC2100 ram that I could use to tide me over until I order my PC3200 ram but no where on my mobo's documentation does it say anyting about that. It talks about PC2700 and PC3200 so i dont know if this will work. I've got an Asus SK8V mobo btw...

Also, would anyone know if non ecc unbuffered ddr400 will work if only two slots are filled? This has been the case w/ previous Athy MP boards (Tyan Tiger for example).

I think FX CPUs require Registered RAM, so unbuffered is out of the window. I think these CPUs also run at 400MHz DDR, so I don't know what would happen if you used PC2100 memory.

The Ram should work as long as its registered. It will probably just run at a much lower speed 133 rather than 200. Though because FX's multi's are unlocked I belive? You could just bump that up until you get your new ram.

Note: this is all an assumption I have no idea if it will work or not.
