PC-2100 vs. PC-3200

I currently have a company built system with 256MB of DDR PC-2100 RAM. I wanted to buy another 256MB, but since my current one is PC-2100 whoulc I get that or PC-3200? I know PC-3200 would run at PC-2100 speds.

If u are sure, the pc2100 is the correct memory for your system, i would buy another pc2100 stick..

Some system specs would be very handy by the way, im not sure i totally understand your question....

No get the 3200. The 3200 is just as cheap and can potentially go much faster. Or you could always sell your current memory and get all 3200.

i agree with kevin, as the prices for the 3200 are tiehr same or cheaper then the 2100 since standards are moving up.

pc2100 is dead,even pc2700 is slowly going away & the price difference is nill so yes grab a stick of pc3200.

you can always buy 1-512 stick of pc3200 mushkin value for like 65 bucks then you have room to upgrade in the future, you can even move it to a new computer if you get it then move the ol 2100 back to your computer to use it for smaller things. Then someday get another stick of mushkin value 3200 for a gig
