PC case for Thunderbird

I am thinking to build a AMD Thunderbird 1.4 GHz for myself and now looking for a good pc case and power supply(300w or 340w). I know I should be careful with the power supply. How about the case? How does this one sound to you?

Well, I recommend spending a little more and get a nice brand name case with abundant power. I recommend the Enlight cases. If you're getting a 1.4GHz, get the one with 340W power supply, it's AMD approved, you can't go wrong with it.

Not trying to be rude, but head to the Cases and Cooling forum and have a bit of a search.

This topic comes up quite often and you will get lots of good advice that will help you find a case for your needs

As LXi said Enlights are nice cases, but there are others as good or that may be better dependent on your needs and how much you are willing to spend. Seeing that the case you linked was pretty inexpensive, i assume your are on a budget?

Bear in mind that you are buying an expensive cpu ( and presumably cooler and motherboard etc). Putting these components in a cheap housing isnt really advisable in my opinion. Invest in a good case and powersupply and they may well outlast the rest of the components in your system.

I've used the Enlight case for several builds- good to work with

As far as power supply, it depends on how much peripherals you install. Most of my recent builds have a CD-RW, CD/DVD rom installed- 300 watts handles this load fairly easily

Nothing wrong with the Enlight cases but I think the Antec SC series are far superior. They are very well made and sturdy and have about the best air flow and cooling you can get.

Buy the Enlight Case...sell there 340 watt PS to a buddy for $20.00 bucks...then go get a Enermax
350 watt dual fan Power Supplie...you can't go wrong on this combo...

The Antec SX1040 is a very good case also with 400w PSU,they also do a 300w version(SX1030)but I think you are better going for the 400w version,look around you can get these for a good price,Antec SX1040 info .
