I have a real big time problem with one of my LAN PC, Biostart M7NCD, AMD 1900+XP, WD 80 gigs HDD, GForce 4 128 RAM, 512 DDR RAM Crucial, 450 Watts PS, Win XP Pro. HDD, Video card, memory chip and PS are all brand new. I replaced them one by one, thinking it was a PS problem, then I replaced the HDD, followed by the video card, and last the mobo and the memory chip at the same time. The symptoms were freezing when surfing the net, or just working with the PC. When I replaced the video card I started getting instant reboots when adjusting the setting so I replaced the mobo and the memory chip and now it does not POST at all, even with the old video card, old mobo, old memory chip, so I think that now I might have a cpu problem.
The original mobo is a Epox 8k7a, which I think it was the culprit because some capacitors are bulging at the top, I also tried the old HDD, a Maxtor 30 gigs, but nothing happened either. So today I'm going to buy a new cpu and try on both mobo to see if I have a dead cpu, or dead mobos.
Meantime if someone have an idea or knows a solution, please let me know.
Thanks
Eltano
