I've been dealing with this issue since September. If I don't let my PC go to sleep, it'll run with 0 issues. If I let it go to sleep, 30% of the time it either...
1) shuts down completely
2) black screens and i hit the power button the pc just shuts off. typically if I hit the power button while the computer is asleep it'll wake the pc. if i click on it when the pc is active, it'll sleep the pc
Anyone know what could be causing this? Some background...
Back in September I decommissioned an HTPC that was higher spec'd than any of my new pcs. The only differences with that build to what I'm using now are...
1) More drives (same boot drive)
2) New RAM - I thought this could be the reason so got it replaced. No difference
3) Nvidia 1080 - Didn't think it was the reason but I got a replacement from EVGA due to thermal issues they had with their batches and that didn't solve the problem
My next step is to replace the PSU. It's a platinum Seasonic and only like 2.5 years old so I would think it isn't the PSU especially since it worked perfectly before changing builds but not sure what else to try.
