PC Expo @ Jacob Javits Center NYC | June 26-28

I was able to attend last year because someone on this forum posted the code for a free pass to attend the exhibits, keynotes and general sessions.

I received an email from them today telling me to register along with a code that would give me 20% off and/or a free pass to attend the exhibits, keynotes and general sessions.

In addition!!! On the bottom it stated:
"Register today, it will only take about 4 minutes, or pass this
email on to a colleague who would like to attend!

So, think of this as me passing on the email to you guys, my Colleagues. I'm not allowed to m3ntion codes in this forum, even though in this case it should Be allowed, but if you are smart, you'll find the code somewhere aBove.

edit: By the way, I just received my confirmation, no one under the age of 18 will be admitted. So if you are a young'n, don't bother registering.

Good expo been going for years and years. Though I think to attend, you have to be either a corporate it person or buyer, dealer, consultant, or basically work in the computer field for a living. You can get fairly close parking but it'll cost about $25 a day. Hotels are about $150 - $250 a night. $200 will usually get you a decent hotel. It's no small show, they use the full convention center for this expo. If you work in the computer industry and want to know the latest in the pc world this is the east coast show to go to.

last year rocked, i walked out of there with a scanner, 7 tshirt and buttloads of little chokchis.

Don't worry, it'll come soon. Last year I think my badge came 2 days before the show. And even if it doesn't come, you can just go pick it up at the show...

I should be there too... on the second day or third day I should be wearing my uber-geeky Microsoft BSOD T-Shirt for the humor value.. I hope I win some good stuff this year, last year my friend got his name called at the Palm booth for a free palm pilot but he was at a different booth and missed it.. I did get some good T-shirts, water bottles, and the almighty personal fans which I'll be bringing back this year. That place was damn hot the first day..

This is a good show but the internet show that will follow in a couple of month at the same location is even bigger then this.
By the way last year you could also get a shoulder massage may be this year too!!

hmmm, only reason i wud go to this is to get some free stuff. im gonna be in nyc the weekend before this...doH! any one think i can score some free electronics and comp stuff? please PM with your experiences. I want to know if i should spend more money to get down there the following weekend. Someone got a scanner...is that worth the gas and tolls i would hafta pay to drive down? THANKS!

CES is much better... PCEXPO is usually lame.

btw, got my badge already, i think if you register now, you won't get it in mail and have to pick it up at the booth.

in case anyone cares, there are plenty of people who are just there (not really a business trade show unless you attend the other paid sessions.)

for me this is just an excuse for a day off work...
