I joined this forum just to offer a warning, I purchased a lifetime membership from cheat happens several years ago. After posting on the cheat happens forum that a trainer was not working Chris O' Rorke one of the founders accused me of using pirated software. I offered to post a copy of my receipt to show that it was a legal purchase but to make a long story short, I was banned from the web site after standing up for myself. He accused me of stealing and using illegal software as a means to cover up the fact that the trainer in question just as many of their other trainers did not or do not work. I'm now seeking legal advice on the matter. I paid for a lifetime membership but because I would not let him punk me he closed my account and refused to give me a refund. My advice, STAY CLEAR OF CHEAT HAPPENS!!!! All the trainers that I had on my computer are now blocked because they have a phone home code injected into them. If you fall out of grace with CHEAT HAPPENS the trainers will no longer work so again, why would you pay for that? just my advice...

Use cheatengine and write your own. I've written a few basic ones for some obscure games that didn't have existing trainers and its not hard.

+1

it has a built in hex editor and hex scaner.
It scans and locks memory partitions also for things like infinite ammo if u can find the right code.

it will cross check and simplify as well so it makes u scanning the right hex codes easier.

its a great universal cheat... and people write scripts for it too so u sometimes dont really need to look for all the hex codes yourself.
Just load up the script for the game, and then your ready to go.

I use Art Money and figure it out for myself. Sometimes it takes a while, and once in a blue moon my system crashes, but overall its worth it.

Fun fact: I started with some hex file editor back in the DOS days, I dont even remember what it was called. Came on a 3.5 inch floppy and only let me install 5 times.

I don't get it. What satisfaction do you get from beating a game using cheats? Why not man up and play the way it was designed?

Many times cheats can extend play time of games that you have already beat.

Just don't be one of the idiots cheating in a multiplayer game because you suck at a game.

Thats interesting and I'm sorry you had a negative experience. I've never had a problem with them in the 6 or 7 years I've been an unlimited member. Their trainers can become obsolete as a game is updated. But they are usually very good about updating the trainers for popular games. That said, it is entirely unreasonable to think that they could update every trainer for every game as they are updated, particularly as they are a small operation.

I'll give you some free "advice," and by that I mean common sense. Drop the issue and go else where for cheats. Are you really going to pay thousands of dollars to fight a legal battle over what amounts to ~$50 in expenses? Even if you don't recoup your legal fees (which you likely will not)?

Disclaimer - I'm in no way affiliated with cheathappens. I don't know any of their employees, and am merely a consumer of their services.

I usually only implement cheats after I have beaten a game. It allows for fun activities that are not possible in the normal game, because they would make the game unbalanced. I had a blast for a couple of hours in GTAIV running arround with infinite health and rocket launcher ammo. I would try to conceive of the most ridiculous ways to do something that would normally get Niko killed or a 5 star rating from the cops. Everything from bailing off a motocycle while jumping off a relatively tall building to shooting every car in sight with rockets.

Because we're talking about single player, where people have the right to play however they want.

Allow me to chime in here. I own Cheat Happens and am the person he is referring to in this post. What he failed to mention was the entire circumstances of his being banned from our website. Mr. James E. Waithe (aka emanueal) went on a expletive-laden tirade on our PUBLIC FORUMS announcing to everyone that all we make are "fake ass trainers" that don't work and are useless to everyone. He then went on to send me additional vulgar messages regarding our site and our work. THAT is when his account was banned. If I came to this site and started calling all of the admins vulgar names and telling everyone that their work was crap and that people shouldn't be here, do you think I would be commended or sent on my way?

Then, not long after his account was banned, I received the following email from him:

"Like I said in the previous email, I don't want to end my membership! I have never had a problem with you or anyone at cheat happens and please find it
within you to overlook my stupidity and lack of regard for YOUR HARD WORK, nothing like this will ever happen again!

At least afford me the time to go back and take back the things I said about you and cheat happens...
You all deserve that much!"

...and after not responding to him within about 4 hours (in which I was going to reinstate his account), he immediately started his libel campaign against us on Facebook, Google+, the BBB and other websites such as this one. Now, if he wishes to seek legal councel against us, I would highly advise him to think twice as we have a hard record of ALL the messages that were exchanged and also a record of all the LIBELOUS remarks that have been made against us in which we are currently seeking legal councel of our own and would not hesitate to file civil charges should this defamation campaign continue.

As you can see from his email, he obviously held our site in high regard and this is what potential customers should take into consideration. We make quality cheats and trainers and take care of our user base when they don't accuse us of making "fake" software used to scam people out of their money.

Nice. It's good to see both sides of the story. Based on the experiences of everyone else in this thread, it sounds like your website has a good reputation to uphold. Keep up the good work.

Don't you ever wanna feel like Arnold in Terminator 2? Blowing throw army of cops like a knife thru hot butter with a minigun with total impunity?

Or worse yet... the game is flawed/buggy or poorly balanced.

Depends on your definition of cheat.

Ex: Cryostasis, there are some points where the collision detection is just fubar (certain open door & dogs are two that come to mind).

Oblivion, there's a point out in the wild off the beaten path where you can (at least I did) get stuck and unable to move, even though you should easily be able too.

Still haven't beaten Cryostasis, just can't get past the final Boss - to much of a 'twitch' type exercise and just don't care for those.

Yes! I have downloaded save games in order to bypass a bug in games that won't allow me to progress. Everything seems likes it's working, but I CANNOT LEAVE THE AREA. All enemies are dead, all tasks are complete and I'm stuck. Download the next save game and all is o.k. This happened to me in POP SOT. After that, the rest of the game played fine.

Some games are designed like shit and I wont play them because they arent fun. But occassionally a cheat can help me get past the poor design decisions.

For example I like the action in Titan Quest but I absolutely hate grinding. I downloaded a game function editor and made some tweaks. Nothing fancy, just 150% XP so I didnt have to grind so much.

Again it depends on the game. For New Vegas I take that perk which slows down XP because the game is better when progress is slow and methodical.

Oh, if you've been through KOTOR 2 a bunch of times and are bored, it can be fun to give yourself a wisdom of 50 and Force Storm at level 1.
