My experience with the Lost Planet demo was a joke. They assume you're going to be playing with a controller based on the game menus and the stupid messaage telling me to press "B". It took a little while to realise I had to right-click instead to go back to the main menu. The game itself was pathetic, the sound screwed up after 2 minutes then it went to a black screen and finally a BSOD. It wasn't even the DX10 version on Vista. That sh1t got uninstalled immediately. CAPCOM can fvck off with their pathetic conversions, I'd rather play Tetris or punch myself in the nuts.
Capcom has always had extremely poor PC ports... I don't know why you'd expect this one to be different . Remember Chaos Legion?
EDIT: Oh and by the way, my Lost Planet has never crashed on my PC (using DX10 version on Vista Ult with 8800GTX with latest drivers). Although I do get the 'B' notification and such, I just eventually learned the commands. Also, what self-righteous FPS gamer needs to be noob'd and told which buttons to press to pick up an item.
Although it seems World of Warcraft has messed up my FPS playing. I can't use WASD anymore, because WoW uses A and D to turn, but I prefer A and D for strafing. WoW uses Q and E for strafing, so I naturally kept pressing those two buttons to strafe, and I kept trying to punch people and pick up things . So I changed my layout to WQSE (replacing items respectively).
