Got Halo for $9.99 and Tron 2.0 for $14.99. As expected, Halo runs pretty slow on my P4 2.53 system with a Radeon 9500 Pro. I know there are some web sites out there that say how to optimize settings so the game runs better -- anyone recall what these sites are?

Yes, it's free online play.
As far as I know, The only PC games that charge for online play are those massive multiplayer games with persistant worlds going on.

Without joking, I wouldn't even pay $9.99 for that POS. A POS isn't worth anything at all no less $9.99.

while I agree it is not the best optimized game around, I was still able to run it at 1280x1024 with everythign on high and had a few slow downs but the game was playable all the way through. This is a fun game and well worth 9.99. It's sad they got rid of the coop play and that later in the game they got lazy on the level design so they just made you go through the same earlier levels with more enemies, but the game is very atmospheric and sucks you in.

Just got back from my local Circuit City and got it for $9.99. They had three copies left and the two dudes who rang me up said that they were gonna grab the last two copies. If I was thinking, I shoulda grabbed them all and ebayed the other two. lol
Thanks for this deal.

Sold out at the one on Lancaster in Salem, OR, but cool CSR (Desi) called down to Springfield and had them hold their last one for me.
I don't know if they do it everywhere, but a local Electronics Boutique (Gateway Mall, Springfield, OR) was willing to PM CC. Picked up 2 more there (one for my dad, one for my sister).
Does EB usually pricematch? I was psyched 'cause they had more in stock.

one for your dad and sis? where do you live??
that makes no sense to say that coop isn't for the PC, one of my roommates games with me sometime and we have been digging everywhere to find good coop games that we can play together, we just got Sacred, but it blows chunks IMO so I will not be playing it with him, if Halo had coop we would have gladly both paid and played the game together, coop can never hurt a game, if anything, it only adds replayability because there is just something fun about going through a game with your friend, or family members, or whoever. While you might not like coop on pc and have evidently had some bitter experiences or something, bear in mind that there are others that do have friends and 2 computers (and no consoles) that would really appreciate coop play and would like more companies to grasp onto this fact.Originally posted by: lMlHuxley

co op is for console, it doesn't belong on pc. If you aren't sitting next to one of your friends odds are you are playing with some random person on the internet who is going to be an ass 99% of the time and not work together with you and takes all the good items and health. Comapines are not going to waste their money for co op on pc, no point to it.
