PC not booting

Yesterday I took my motherboard out to fit a new cooler and tested it outside of the case and it worked fine with a PC game. Installed new graphics card and I was using anti static strap throughout. It had all the components on but oitside the case. I then put it in my new itx case (Thermaltake Core V1) and when I pressed the power button, it didn't switch on, there is no post.

Its an Asus Maximus VI Impact board so I pressed the start button on the board (which is illuminated) to power it, still didn't boot. Did a BIOS flash, but didn't boot. Took of all the cables but still not booting.

Please help

Check to make sure it is not shorting anything in the case. Also, what video card did you install? Did you remember all the power connectors?

How would I exactly check that? First time building a PC. Here is the standoffs on my case

Im using an MSI GTX 950 gfx card which uses a 6pin connector I believe. I tried replugging all the power cables from the psu to the board but no dice

I don't think the start buttons on my computers are illuminated until the system is turned on.

Check the small cables for reset, HDD Led, power on etc. buttons via manual.
Check the 2nd power cable [:][:][:][:] for the motherboard, 24+8 is it?
Make sure your video card (geforce 950?) is connected to the power supply with the 6pin, thing.
Also monitor has to be plugged into the video card, via DVI/hdmi, try the second one on the card if it has two. This is a common thing: trying to run integrated graphics with a card plugged in, shouldn't work. Though honestly, i never tried.

This and This.

Since this is your first build, there's a high chance that you've messed up connecting the case's switches to the motherboard's front panel.
Closely follow your motherboard's manual front panel diagram and disconnect all case connectors from it! Connect only the Power Switch/Power SW case connector to the motherboard and press the power button! This is the only switch you need in order to power up the system. Connect the other case switches to the motherboard's front panel after figuring this out!
