PC Racing.

What racing games you guys play now on the PC? I snagged a Wheel and would love to try a good game. Im a Sim person however if a arcady is good with a wheel then cool. Thanks for any suggestion..

The Race series is quite fun with a wheel and is more sim oriented.

Race 07 is the basic game, and is so cheap there's no reason not to try it, and then there are numerous addons/expansion packs/etc which add more cars and tracks.

I would say get Race07 and the GTR-evo expansion.

Other good games are F1 2010, Dirt 3 is out next month, NFS shift 2 isn't too bad from what I hear.

I like GTR2 and GT Legends more so than the Race/Evo stuff. If you go with any of the Simbin games, look into configs for you're specific wheel - you can makes some cfg file changes to get it really dialed in.

rFactor is pretty decent and has a lot of mods that massively increase both the quality, quantitity & variety of racing you can do.

I second GRID - great game that can be bought for pittance these days.

I just discovered trackmania the other day.

Trackmania is awesome, but it's apparently terrible with a wheel.

Good call. I own it, but seldom play because I don't have a wheel. The game is hellofa tough with keyboard and mouse. I hope to get into it more when I pick up some peripherals.

Oh that's cool, look's like some good fun.
Hopefully Ubisoft doesn't shit it up.
But seems like they are finally getting the message their craptacular DRM isn't working too well. So not much of a worry.
Hopefully I can build new computer by time of release. Since they beefed up existing Trackmania, it's really put a squeeze on what obsolete power I have to work with.

thanks all I tried the Race 07 and addons demos and they feel really nice with the wheel. GRID and DIRT 2 demos took some hacking to get the wheel to work, it was released after those games were.

Im definatly look forward to DIRT3 too.

Edit: Trackmania is a blast but I use xb360 controller for it. (wired can be used on pc)

rFactor and its various mods are great for online play; you'll find a lot of racing leagues that use it. F1, indycar, NASCAR, rallying...you name it, chances are there's a league that runs it.

I'm in one myself - a sports car endurance racing league running seven 2.5 hour races this year. We even picked up sponsorship from Logitech, who are paying out gift cards to the winners.
