PC restarts for no reason Help!

here is my problem
my pc restarts at any movement for no reason... this happened 2 times in 5-6 hrs... wat i was doing for the firsts time was juz writing an email from mozilla... and the second time when my pc rebooted when i was searching somethin in kazaa...
this has never been a problem with me... i donno suddenly wat happens and my pc juz goes to the boot screen...

as the pc restart its again normal.. it comes up with the scan disk while restarting with no errors and again it works fine for some time and again suddenly it reboots.. after restarting windows says " system has recovered from seriuous error do u want to send the error report" as i send the error report they say its caused due to installation of some drivers and bla bla bla...

my recently installed softwares and drivers include..
Shareaza_2.1.0.0 (i uninstalled it within some hrs..as i didnt like it)

nVidia Display Drivers 66.93_win2kxp_english (latest) (its currently running fine with my graphic card GForce 4 MX 440 128MB)

Messenger Plus for MSN Messenger v3.25 (MsgPlus-325)

im running Windows XP with sp2

Restarting is indicative of two things: heat, or a blue screen of death (usually a hardware or driver problem). Running out of memory may generate an error message, but it should never cause a restart.

Trying Rolling back on the Video Drivers.

If your running a Sata Drive, there's a patch on microsoft's website that fixes Rebooting with SP2.

Spyware maybe?

I once had this problem and it turned out my power supply was going out. Found it by accident but a new one solved that problem.

Same thing happened to my wife's machine about a month ago. It eventually got much worse. After a considerable amount of investigation, I was able to narrow it down to a failing mobo.

Yes I would agree with the above posts, either the power supply isn't providing enough power to your hardware, or your cpu could be over heated. Do you overclock at all? The next time it reboots, boot into the BIOS and check your hardware temps.

i hav tried running all types of scans for viruses and malwares by Ad-Aware SE Pro 1.05, and ESET NOD32 Antivirus.. also registry scans by System Mechanic 5 Pro.. but in vain.. as i said before my temperatures are normal and i havent overclocked my machine yet... i already use an UPS with 25min.. backup..

It appears as though the culprit is vsdatant.sys, which is a ZoneAlarm file. Make sure that you are running version 5.1 or higher. ZoneAlarm may be conflicting with some other piece of software on your machine.

Is the built-in Windows firewall disabled? I'm not sure what to tell you. You might try contacting ZoneLabs support to see if they have any ideas.

Odd...I've never heard anything like this from ZoneAlarm before.

Share your desktop with NetMeeting to another machine and control it from there for a few hours. If you can't repro, it's your mobo.
