The problem was before Afterburner was installed. Before Afterburner was installed, all I had was MSI Gaming APP and AMD Settings. Motherboard is Asus K30AD_M31AD_M51AD.

Yesterday I Google Steam issue with shutting down PC and I found a thread on Steam, that many people had the same issue. It ran for a few years, but was never solved.

AI Suite? The last software I got was Nero 2017. It could be the new software etc. As of now, it hasn't crash since I disable the aero thing.

AI Suite would come on the Asus install disk for your board. It is included with the express install. If you manually selected what you wanted or downloaded drivers separately, of course the Asus AI Suite could be skipped. It's listed in the Asus folder in the start menu if you aren't sure.

But I never had this issue in the past. I had two older Nvidia and AMD card in there before and it worked fine. I could take a look at it also.

I did checked the event viewer yesterday. It has errors stating that the system was shut off unexpectedly. When I installed Windows 7, it was a fresh installation, that was installed a few weeks ago. I ran a compatibility check on Steam and then disable aero. I came on about 3 times today after the last crash and play COD. It ran good. If it happens again, I will try to reinstall Steam.

If a machine shuts down, it is pretty much always either a voltage or a heat issue.
Get HWmonitor, and monitor your voltages & temps.
Stress test your machine with OCCT or prime95, or something that will hammer all the cores.
If all is OK after a few hours, then move on to stress testing your GPU, I tend to use furmark. Keep an eye on the voltages (set it to log the data), and if you see a shutdown, check the logs and see how hot & what voltages are at.

If both those check out OK, it is then time to run them both at the same time (prime95 + furmark) and again monitor the temps & voltages.

Hopefully, you will find what the problem is.

I used HWMonitor, not a heat issue. Seems as it only happens or mostly happens when I'm on Steam. I just uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it. Will see if it help. I will try the stress test that you recommend also, thanks.

So did the stress test and it passed. Did OCCT and it didn't crash. It did slow my PC down, but that was it. After reinstalling Steam while playing COD, the temp seems lower (below 40 C), and the GPU Frequency stays below 900 MHz. Before the temp was around mid 50s and GPU Frequency goes up to 1300 MHz.

What are you using to measure CPU temps? OCCT should show you temps on all cores. If you didn't mark it, run the test for about a minute and tell us what max temp the cores got up to.

Please check your memory test it with some stress testing software. Most of the time pc crashes and restarts due to faulty memory modules.

Okay, after a few weeks of still having this issue. I decided to delete all Steam and Steam games completely off my hard drive. Redownload all the games back into one hard drive and I haven’t have the same issue since.

I believe I might have had same games save on both of my drives and maybe it may cause some issues. If not, then it just needed a fresh install of either Steam or the Steam games. Will keep up to date if anything changes.
