pc wont boot. even in safe mode

hello i overclocked my pc ages ago. yesturday it frozed so i restared it. but now it wont boot. it does the cycle of trying to reboot. but it doesnt even boot in safe mode like it should do,


i've taken out the motherboard battery see if that would reset the bios setting, but it still doesnt boot. just tries too.

i've also put a different power supply see if it was that but no.

i think i've blown my cpu.

anyone got a suggestion what else it might be or what else i can do?

i think i'll have to buy a new cpu.

can you get to bios ? do you see text when it tries to boot ? Maybe your windows install is hosed, thats all.

try a different hard disk, if it posts, but you never see a windows screen. If it doesnt post, removing cmos battery, and re-posting with the bare minimum. cpu mobo, gfx card and 1 stick of ram.

i wont even get to the post screen. it tries to boot for about 2 seconds. then keeps on trying and trying. normally when it does this after about 4-5 times
it would boot into safe mode.

How old is the motherboard, try replacing the cmos battery, or booting with a thumb drive to update your bios

everything is about 6 months old. and i updated the bios not long ago.,

try holding down the INSERT key when turning the system on. That can often boot the BIOS to fail-safe settings.

i found the problem. 1 stick of ram is fooked!!!
