I think I know what your question is. The CPU sets the multiplier for the bus speed. Since the bus speed and memory speed run at the same speed on current DDR motherboards, you cannot run the RAM at 266 (PC2100) with a 200 bus. The only way to run the memory at 266 is to set the multiplier lower. For example, with a 1GHz Athlon set the multiplier to 7.5 and the bus speed to 133MHz and the memory will be running at 266 DDR (PC2100) along with the bus speed.
