PC2100 and PC2700 DDR Working Together

I have a stick of PC2100 DDR and going to buy another stick of PC2700 512MB RAM, Can these two work together on a Celeron 2.5G (100 FBS) system? Or should I dump the PC2100 stick and buy 2 PC2700 sticks instead? I am on a tight budget, please give me your advice.

It won't hurt to try. I ran 1 pc2100 and 1 pc2700 at 150 fsb, with no problems on an athlon system.

Sure can. The PCxxxx rating is just the maximum speed you may run them at, while the common minimum speed for DDR RAM is 83 MHz. So if you put PC2700 together with PC2100, you must limit things to PC2100 standards (133 MHz RAM clock). This will make the PC2100 stick happy, and the PC2700 stick will be a bit bored but it'll play along just as nicely.
