That card has a NEC chipset. It should be good. The card make or brand has little to do with the function of the card. The maker only does the hard board and assembles the parts on the hard board. The biggest problem area with cards are the chipset that is on the card. When you buy a video card do you look at the brand of the card or the maker of the chipset first? If the chipset has flaws in it, then it does not matter that brand the board is because if the board uses that chipset it is not going function properly.
The NEC chipset seems to have the best compatibility along with the Intel chipsets for USB. Ali chipset, depending on what model chipset it is, has some compatibility problems with some USB hard drives. In after market USB cards the NEC seems to be the safest bet.
