PCI Tv Tuner Card

So I decided on building my first HTPC and bought all my components fairly quick and easy....however I'm having a real hard time finding a TV Tuner.

After searching around and reading many things on tuners, I finally decided on the Avermedia AverTV combo with MCE remote. The crappy thing about that is, I have an MSI P6N SLI motherboard and an MSI NX8600GTS card. The PCIe x1 slot is above the PCIe x16 on this motherboard which makes sense with some of these huge heatsinks on the graphics cards.....well it turns out my graphics card is passively cooled and the heatsink blocks the rear. So I need to return my Avermedia card and purchase a new PCI one. It seems that there are so many different tuners and my brain cant take anymore. So please help me if you have any idea.

1) I want to get HDTV OTA.
2) Hookup my Digital Cable (including HBO, Showtime, etc to my tuner as well)
3) Record shows and watch TV from a remote computer.

Can anyone recommend a good PCI Tuner card for these things? I heard with the AverTV card, you can plug in an HDTV OTA antennae and plug the cable from out of your cable box to the tuner card. The tuner card then controls the cable box and the OTA channels and you can record anything you want to like TIVO.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here are a couple lists. But, I can tell you that you're not going to be able to get digital cable, hbo, showtime, etc with any of them since they're encrypted. As far as I know, there's no way to record these to an htpc.

I personally am using a Divico gold card with knoppmyth. All I care about is the ota network channels.

Thanks for the info!!! dmk11 also explained some of those things to me...i've just heard people were able to record cable, but i never knew how....
